Cracks that remove copy protection

Is there such a thing as a crack that can remove a games protection?

I used the Grand Theft Auto3 v1.11 patch off this site and it seemed to remove the protection.Why wasn't it labelled as a copy protection crack?

If there are such cracks where can they be found?

Basically a " Crack " overwrites the .exe file / other files, in the program, when it has been installed into the computer, to allow it to run without certain requirements being present.

A " Patch " is generally used to update / fix bugs / add trainers / etc and overcome the CP on the disk so as to enable you to " Back " it up ;)

if you want to remove game protection, use burning program like:
clone cd, cd mate

also try with unsafedisc

I backed up GTA3 with cd- mate and cd clone but the play disc wouldnt kick in but when I installed V1.11 patch It worked that is why I ask this question:Is ther a copy protection crack in patchv1.11?

i think you just installed a backup or nocd crack, that allows you to play with a copy or no cd at all.
