lol, thats interesting. No I am not trying to start a war here, I'd sooner have a psp than a ds but the guys in japan dont seam to agree.

I wonder what 'exclusive' titles they arent releasing outside of japan thats driving those sales up...

yes is that way in japan since some time, maybe has something to do that the DS was released months earlier than PSP in Japan.a and that also make more selling units since then

I think this could be down to the DS being very novelty orientated, the Japanese love novelty, I like novelty too to be honest. The touch screen is lots of fun, and I like the game ideas that come from it and the 2nd screen.

To me, the PSP is incredibly European/western. Huge screen, realistic games, all very serious, tries very hard to impress, but not much novelty.

I mean really, how can anything compare to Nintendogs! :D

My mother would like the DS over the PSP :)

You hit it on the head wafer; novelty.
Novelties like fads, don't last.

The DS is doing well due to the usual array of Nintendo japanese fare.
While the PSP does have sony versions of such titles, the DS and it's games are cheaper.
The japs are notorious skinflints if given a choice.
Given a choice of a pricey sony or a cheap Nintendo; they will opt for the Nintendo.

Yeah my daughter loves Nintendogs.
She even has the little nintendog toy with it's own grass plug.
Crazy nips.:sarcastic
