Anyone out there good at altering game codes?
I enjoy my updated copy of Victoria: Empire under the Sun for the PC, but I hate how it has a time limit set for a paticular year.
I was wondering if anyone out there could make, has, or knows of a way to alter the game code so that I could continue playing after the year 1921, which is the time that the game automaticly ends. If thats not the case, maybe a way to alter the time that the game considers it 'game over' so I could set it to a later time and have more time to whup on my computer opponents, since it takes such a god awful long time to gather up the tech to stand a chance against the opponents in the game.
Also, would there be a way to alter or eliminate the 'game over' date for games like Civilization 3, and Alpha Centauri?
I'm sure I'm not the only one to want to change this part of these games, so I hope there is something out there to be able to alter the game, maybe a how-to-guide, or a patch or mod.
Any help would be appretiated
Thanks
