How can i crack the game, that it WORKS?

After i broke my first game dvd i want to be on the save side by cracking a lot of games oder burning the older ones...

But I can't find a working Crack for X³ only a very strange/confusing image!

And Starforce always detects it!
I tried it with SFN, but there was no positive Result, i've tried the Instructions of the Board, and the ones out of the Info File ;)
But I don't want to pull off Links between my drives!

Because if I want to do this, i can also play with my original DVD, but I like it to start Games, without searching the CD/DVD and all the other ++++, the most of my Games on my PC are cracked, because I'm sometimes a little bit lazy :D

Call me crazy or something like that, but I#m like this ;)

Can you tell me a way to play it without pulling off cables, or something like that for Panzers with SF there was also a working NOCD Crack, will there be a non Image NOCD/DVD Crack for X³? Is somebody working on this, cann you tell me something about it?

PLease explain me, how to apply the crack, I don't want to have one day a broken DVD and no Game to play, because theres no service of getting a new DVD like EA is serving it^^

Please help me :)

Well, first thing, first. Uninstall the game. Make sure that nothing is left in the registry. Stop the PC. Unplug the IDE cables leading to your optical drives. Start the PC. Mount image in daemon tools 4. Install the game. Restart if needed. Start the game, introduce the serial if required. Enjoy. Every time you want to play, the IDE cables leading to your cd/dvd units must be pulled. Hope it helps. No-cd crack still doesn't exist for this game. I strongly advise you to download 1.3 patch(resolves lots of bugs and optimise the game performance-the requirements for video and memmory are pretty high for this game: minimum 128 mb for video card, 1gb RAM recommended, CPU 2.4Mh for Intel, or the equivalent for AMD). Have your fun.

Is there any other solution, WITHOUT pluging out the cables?

Can i manage something with SFN?

No, this is Starforce 3.6 and it can Re-enable drives, so you have to physical unplug them.
Maybe in some Time, the Daemon Dev team is working on an IDE-Jammer addon for DT4.

And, do you think, that there will be a working really CRACK?

Is somebody working at it?

Not anytime soon. Starforce protections are hard to crack. SO expect somewhere around a few months(3-6). Until then, use your original DVD, or the workaround described.

here is the way i tried out...

install the game then unmount image in deamontoolz. Now mount image in Deamontools Start SFN(StarforceNightmare) and click disable CD, after that click exit. play the game!!!

after playing start SFN and click enable CD....(very important)..

but i have some probs with the loading times between levels and so on...???

Just install the latest patch. It solves a lot of performance problems and a lot of bugs. Patch v1.3 it is. I'd say that my life was a lot easier after this patch version was released. Me, I'm playing with my dvd in drive. Lazy person: if there is no no-cd, i use the original, rather than unpluging cables and so on.

ok well since this has slipped down the forum I though I'd bring it back up I too am looking for a No-DVD patch for X3 (US) ideally one that allows me to use the latest patch, anyone know of any progress on this front, no real rush on this I can use my DVD atm but I just hate having to switch discs when I change games

There is no crack out yet. Starforce protected game and also old. Only if an addon or a new update will come out we can hope for a crack. Until then just use the original or the workaround if you are a masochistic personality:)

There's still apparently no crack or working mini-image out, and there have been a number of updates, and other Starforce games have been cracked. No one's bothering to make one for X3?

Personally, virtual drive stuff won't run on this for the moment (Vista X64), and the game won't even accept its cd key. Is this game just being deliberately overlooked by the people who make these sorts of things?

If the game rejects the original cd-key that comes in the package, you need to contact the software company ...

They've been no help, like usual; companies rarely care about the consumer anymore, and that's neglecting the problems of Starforce itself, what it does to systems, and how it interferes with legitimate programs and hardware. It's apparently a 'known problem' that if you merely have a DVD+RW drive (or so), Starforce will always come back face down. Nevermind how it's been sporadically interfering with my C++ compilers.

The thing is, other Starforce programs have been cracked. RELOADED even publically released reverse engineering tools which supposedly make this simple. If I could wrap my head around assembly and the documentation and all, I'd do it myself. Though, from looking at it, it doesn't look all that hard, aside from that I'm apparently not running the right version of the right OS for it.

Why is it that people are cheery to make no-cd/no-dvd patches for other Starforce (up to 3.7 I've heard) games, but not for X3, which doesn't even use the very latest versions of Starforce?

Actually their latest patch updates the protection to 3.7.I think there are more chances for POP3 and GtLegends to be cracked than X3.The aforementioned games are using the old starforce 3.5 or 3.6, which means the Reloaded tools are working fine. If you are up to it.

At least according to Protection ID 5.1b, it's "[!] Starforce v3.5.10.06 (Build 26.04.06) " as of 1.4.0.3.

If you know C++, one good way to learn ASM is to look at the code made by your compiler of a simple C++ program. Also, there are multiple online tutorials that you can read up a bit on it too ... when I was in college and took an ASM course, that's how I started out learning it, by writing the program in C++ and modifying the code to "clean it up" a bit ;)

Can you use newer patches besdies the 1.3 patch.. or will the game only function with the 1.3 patch?

The game will function fine with your original game disc in the drive (regardless of the patch), cracks are a bit behind ...
