help plz with cd and dvd burner in my comp............

hey just da other day when i clicked on my computer and looked at stuff on my cd drive or my dvd burner drive it use to work u know but today all of a studen i cant see it anymore and my cds and dvds dont work now

Did you use any programs to hide your drives such as starforce nightmare or sd4hide?

nope it just went away out of no where

ok first off did you check device manager

try restarting the computer see if they come back

then try disconecting the drive from the pc then reconect them

try new ide cables those cables tend brake often

if that dont work phone the manufaturer

if all fail you could take a long shot and reinstall the computer again

ohhh try and conect those drinve to another pc my mate had this problem in his computer we couldnt fix it but he didnt re format

Have you done a ' System Restore ' to a date when all was working OK, if not, try that first.

i tryed both ways and it didnt help da only way was by me restarting da hole computer
reformating it and now it works

Must have been due to some corruption in your os....
