Starforce Fix Problem

Hi. I see that I'm not the only one having problems with Starforce fixes.
Anyway, I used the Starforce Fix for Worms 4: Mayhem (downloaded from MG) and 1) the game didn't work.
2) my cd/dvd-rom went weird - which is probably the point of the fix but I would gladly want to know how I can get it back working. I mean, it works, somehow, for example I can listen to CDs with it, I can rip the CDs to my hard-drive, but when I try to burn a CD and put an empty CD in my drive it says G:\ ACCESS DENIED. I can still open Nero and choose what to burn and do the burning process succesfully - but the problem is that the CDs won't work. It says something of MS-dos code or something insufficient or something.

How to remove the fix, to get my CD/DVD-rom drive working properly again?

did you disable node or anything like that with a starforce workaround?

if you did just renable it using that program

No, I do not think so. It's an .exe called Worms 4 Mayhem StarForce Removal - I just ran that.

did u scan the file before use?

use a system restore point.

But it sounds like the file edited your registy.
or atleast alterd Some settings for your cd/dvd rw

You could try Going to device manager And removing the device.
And then restart your pc.

but your probably going to need to remove the start force fix
if your lucky it will be In your add remove programs,
But more than likley it just added entrys or edited entrys in your egistry.
You may haft to remove or edit those.

Try a registry fixing tool.
PC bug doctor is a decent program Although its not free.

no, it's not in the add/remove programs, I checked there first.

I have registry mechanic 5.0, but it hasn't been any help with this.

because I always firstly check megagames for a crack and went for the search for a crack for worms 4 and found that starforce removal (I wasn't very familiar with the starforce system yet then) and used that.
