I turned on my computer and received an alert from my antivirus from a file located in c;\system volume information the file is called A0062469.exe but the antivirus don't report with an virus name just said possible virus two days ago I received a similar alert from a crack I downloaded from gamecopyworld.com a crack for Lord of the Rings the fellowship for the ring the crack actually works on the game but I thought was a false alarm because was actually working as no cd but now I detected this other file i don't what to think what I don't like is the location I previosly mentioned (a common location where virus/adaware usually install to create problems) but for the other hand the antivirus don't even confirm if its really a virus or not but I don't know maybe I picked the a006246.exe file from another part and not from that no cd crack itself I looked for information about that file on google and yahoo and didn't found nothing so do you think could be really virus/spyware or could be nothing to worry about? What could be the better to do?

Hmmm C:\System Volume Information is a very dodgy area to have viruses in, Microsoft actaully deny that, that folder exisits, the problem is, we don't know if "a0062469.exe" is a file that Windows needs or if its a file planted there.

Boot your computer is safe mode, and do a full system scan, if its not detected then you should be ok. TBH most viruses that plant themselfs in C:\System Volume Information, are serious viruses that usually can't be cleaned easily and would do alot of noticable damage to your system. From what you said, it doesn't indicate any unusual computer behaviour, so I think its just a false alarm.
