Now Before any of this happened i use adaware and did use spybot search and destroy until apparently i got a virus that blocks it. no im not joking, spybot shows up on add or remove programs but absolutely nowhere in my files, when i try to redownload it, the virus interuppts it right before the end.

anyway, today while i was searchin for a crack on some shady sites i got a horrible message. right next to the clock in lower right hand corner of start bar, a red circle with an X showed up. Tellin me my computer has been infected! It tells me to click on it to install the latest anti spyware and of course when i click it nothing happens.

Since this has happened ive downloaded spyware blaster, mozilla firefox(no more internet explorer), and a2 personal but havent ran it yet. I ran adaware but that seemed to do nothing.

please megagamers what advice do you have?
also ask me if you have any other questions..

If you are having that much problems.. what i would do is a format and a reinstall of Windows.. or try get a hold of the latest zone alarm which has spyware remover or norton..

Also.. did you do the latest definitions update on adaware?

i am tryin to recover without reformatting as i think its possible still. a year and a half ago i had it so bad i did have to reformat. I downloaded hijack this, cwshredder, microsoft anti spyware, and spybot again on my laptop, put them on a usb storage thing, and stuck it in my messed up comp.

All i can say is its worse then i thought, it blocked the spybot installer as i suspected but along with cwshredder, and hijack this.

Now i know those installers are on the device is there anyway to unhide them????? i mean how can it hide them from me so well?!?

Just give ole Bill the boot and get Linux! No kidding, I know what you have heard, but look into Fedora Core 4 or SuSE 10. Linux has come a long way in the last year!
