dvd-rw issues

ive just bought a new emprex dual layer 16x dvd-rw drive if i have it as master it says cant access drive if i put it in slave then it comes up as dvd-cdrw combo drive and dont burn dvds or even reconize dvd-r disks ive tried the website for new drivers but then now matter what i set the jumpers it say drive not accsesable any one help???

Is the drive plugged into IDE Channel 1 on the secondary channel, or is it on IDE channel 2 on the primary channel?

yeh dont worry dude i sorted it my computers really strange dunno wtfs wrong with it ive had "bsod" like twice in a month lol i think im gonna have to give it a make over lol:dance1:
