Need crack for mektek's mekpak3!!! (MP3)

Hi guys I'm new here, I'm having problems running mektek's mekpak3, I've tried any solution to solve this problem but the game (mechwarrior4:mercenaries) doesn't seem to start. First, it runs the autoconfig executable, then after I accept the license agreement the video goes black, and finally it returns to the desktop. Can you find a solution? please, I NEED IT!!!!

NEW VARIANTS FOLDER
All user variants created in MP3 will be contained in VariantsMTMP3. MP3 will
not see any of the variants you have created in previous game versions. This is
because any variants created in previous game versions are now incompatible
with MP3, and if you try to copy them into your VariantsMTMP3 folder, the game
will crash upon entering the ‘Mech Lab.

It's a little unclear whether you can't install it or run it (you accept a license?), but they say this:

A) Install MW4:Mercs
b) Install the official Microsoft PR1 patch found on the Official MW4: Mercs Homepage (http://www.microsoft.com/games/mw4mercs) *HERE* (http://download.microsoft.com/download/d/f/3/df312acc-d23b-4912-96fb-3073f7f2d11d/mercpr1.exe)
c) Download and install MekTek MekPak PR1 to MP2.1a patch which can be found here (http://www.mektek.net/mekpak). A little note, installing our paks takes a few minutes and at times can seem like nothing is happening. Trust us it is working, just let it go till you get a message box.
D) Download and install MekTek MekPak MP2.1a to MP3 patch which can be found below. Again installing will take a while, just give it time. With the patch being so big it can take a while, so go have a cup of something while you wait. :)

Is there a NoCD crack for MekPak 3.0 yet or a fixed executable that you may know of?

I'm able to run MP3 fine with just a backup copy of cd1 mercs but not after clicking on the button 3 or 10 times and changing the registry so it would point to what drive my backup copy of Mercs CD1 is. Though having the fixed exe would really be nice.

-Go into your registry (Start>Run>Regedit) and go to the following:

-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MicrosoftGam es\MechWarrior Mercenaries

-You should see something like "CD Path." Change that to whatever the emulation drive is you're using (ie mine would be G:\).

-That should fix that problem

Please don't try this if you dont know what your doing and don't blame me if your screw-up ur registry. it would be a good idea to back up the registry first before attempting to do anything with it. lotsa luck.

I would really like to get a hold of a fixed executable, but I guess I can try your method in the meantime.

How did you set up your back-up copy of MW4:Mercs CD 1? did you burn a copy of the disc and use it in your CD-ROM drive or did you copy files from CD 1 onto your hard disk?

Alcohool and clone cd can make a perfect copy for your original. Alcohol use safedisc setting, Clonecd protected game setting. Or you can use a no-cd crack.

If you don't have the original, you can't legally use a no-cd fix :nono: ... sorry

Actually, this site features some NoCD fixes for the earlier versions of the MekTek's MekPak (not even telling which versions those were)...

For the latest version of the MekPak - 3.0.2a - there is no fixed executable to prevent the need of CD. Nor the trick with the registry described a few posts before seems to work...

So either play this MekPak-enhanced MW4 Mercenaries with your original CDs, or resort to be playing the original game patched to PR1 with NoCD fix... Sad, but true.

Does anyone have any of these, I really wish to play this game and saving my precious CD-s (my DVD rom has a tendency of scratching them!)?:(

I would be forever gratefull to anyone who can supply me with any of these.

If none is available on those sites, it's probably not around anymore. If you're really worried about your discs getting damaged, the best suggestion I could give you would be to create an image of your disc and mount that, if you have the space (it'll be about 700MB) ;)

I think I have found a way to play mektek patched version without a CD. You will need an image of the original disc on your hard drive.

Here's how:

1. Make sure your game is patched to pr1 then mektek 3.02b. Download the pr1 crack but rename it to something else before placing it in the game folder. E.g., "MercCrack". Do not copy over or delete the original "merc.exe", keep it there in the folder.

2. Double click "mercCrack.exe" (or whatever you named it) click through the setup windows. The game won't launch and you'll be back at the desktop.

3. Double click "merc.exe" (the original executable) and click through the subsequent error messages.

4. Mount the image. Minimize the auto launched game menu. Again double click "merc.exe". Here is the tricky part: the game will sometimes launch at this point, I have seen it. If it doesn't and you see the error message ("no CD found"), keep trying. Should you fail more than five times, close the game menu, unmount the image and repeat step #2 to #4.

Sometimes it took me one try to lauch the game, sometimes five, but I never have to mount the image for more than twice. The entire process never took me more than a minute.
