i've the same problem !! Mounted the CD1 with Alcohool 120% or daemontool and hidden the drive with sd4hide but game asks me always the CD !! I'm been able to run the game only 1 time but i don't now how !! :(

I'm using only Daemon Tools 4 and don't need any "Hider" Programms, simply mount it, disable your CD/DVD in windows System Hardware Manager to play the game.
BTW i'm having Windows XP with installed SP2:

Thinks you might need to do, to run this game :

1. Deinstall Antiblaxx
2. Deinstall Clone-CD
3. Disable all Virtual Drives that are not Daemon
4. Disable all Emulation Options , that are not Daemon, like Alcohol's
5. Disable Any-DVD
6. Disable Anti-Virus Programms.

nope...I'vew tried abolstely everything I can think of....I disabled my cd drives & virus scanner/firewall....I uninstalled everything and just reinstalled daemon tools and sd4hide....followed the instructions on sd4hide and it still doesn't work :uhoh:

I got it to work for me.
Im using DAEMON 3.41
and sd4hide
here is what i do

I mount CD1
launch sd4hide
click hide
then click the game icon to start it

I also have the sd4hide installed in my EA games/need for speed most wanted folder

i don't know if anyone knows this but sd4 is not compadable with windows xp, so go to your nfsmw.exe file, and change it so it is set to window 98/NE or windows 2000, and then use your sd4 program to hide, and it should work, (if does not work mount all the other drives also, and if that does not work, just keep going back and forth in the compliabliity thing, from windows 2000 to windows 98/NE, and that should work) sry if i posted something that was already posted

the game has just come out, it does take time to code a nocd patch, but for now this post http://www.mgforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43284 is the best workaround, i have it running on media centre and xpsp2, only problem i have is that it minimises the game and you have to restore it, and you cant seem to resume free roam without having a race from the start, which is fine, every system is different, but u dont need to do anything else but deamon4 and antiblaxx have daemon to all options on, just experiment with antiblaxx, took me about 2 hours of fiddling, but its ok now, at least until i get a nocd fix in a week or so

I wonder why it's taking so long to create a Fixed EXE for this game. Quake 4 is also SafeDisk 4.60 and the EXE was made very quickly.

My problem is that neither Alcohol 120% or D-Tools is suported by the x64 platform. therefor i cant use sd4hider or anti-blaxx. I've bured the game over to discs. and hoping for a realese of the Nocd or a x64 d-tools/alcohol 120%

There is none. X64 isn't supported. You need to Wait until next year and Windows Vista is out. The Team of Daemon Tools have said that "there will be NO x64 Version of Daemon in next Time. They have no Time and no interest in doing x64 support.

I finally got this working, and you don't need to install this into the default directory (I have it installed on my secondary hard drive, ie D:\Games\Need For Speed...etc)

1. Full Install
2. Download, install Daemon tools 4.00 (might work with 3.47/3.46).
3. Download sd4hider
4. Mount NFSMW-Mini.mds file from here:

5. Run SD4hider (I have it in the same folder as NFSMW)
6. Run game (I clicked the speed.exe file in the folder, might work with the desktop icon).

Step 1)Unmount the image if it's mounted
Step 2)Add Sd4hide to your nfs directory
Step 3)Hit "Hide" on Sd4hide

2. Mount all 4 Need for Speed CD images into Alcohol.
3. Install Game as normal.
4. Using the 'Image Burning Wizard' in Alcohol make a copy of Disc 1, ensuring you select SafeDisc 3.2 or higher (some will say SafeDisc 2/3)
5. Burning it slower than normal may improve reliability of the CD, slowest advisable. Its worth the wait.

nothing else was working for me so i tried this. IF nothing else is working for some people, i suggest using this image as a solution. NOTHING was working except this.

What you need:
Mini/Maxi image that is approx: 900kb in size (extracts to ~1.9GB when done)
Daemon Tools/Alcohol 120% (to mount with)
Sd4hider or Anti-blaxxx (v. 1.8) [used to block SafeDisc protection)

1. extract the Mini/Maxi image and mount it with Daemon Tools/Alcohol 120%
2. Run Sd4hider (press "hide")
3. execute "speed.exe" from the desktop icon or from your game folder (whichever you prefer)
4. game should work.

This is quite funny, i think the game has a mind of its own. It seems to pick whose computer is worthy of playing the game or not (not seriously!).

I bought the game when it came out, installed in, threw sd4hide.exe in the nfs folder and mounted that strange maxi image then pressed Hide. Now this worked first time, and now works everytime i try to run it.

My friend however wasn't so lucky. I went over to help him install (lol n00b) and i was 100% succesful in every step (see above). So, here goes nothing.

Gave us one of two messages: Wrong cd inserted or something like that and The game has detected cd/dvd emulation software (with that sd4hide program working.).

So if it doesnt work for you, it's something personal... THE GAME DOESNT WANT TO BE PLAYED...

But I will say what some other people have been saying:

1. Mount Maxi Image
2. Open sd4hide.exe and click hide
3. Open speed.exe and cross fingers (not too hard, dont want to pull a muscle or nething :P)
4. If it doesnt work, try and repeat.

Really, the wait for a NO-CD/DVD exe is becoming extremely long actually, where pizzadox and all dem ppl gone?

If u wanna know, Im running Windows XP SP2, 3.6 ghz Processor (overclocked from 3.4), Nvidia Geforce 6800 GT also overclocked, 1gb ram (new games require a lot of ram), P4C800 ASUS motherboard. I used daemon tools.
With the firewall, i dont think this matters coz its like being scared to enter a city with an inactive volcano, same with the game, it doesnt use the net unless u especially try to use it.

Yeah.... very funny! So funny that if the game doesn't work you have to have a fresh install of xp! Very funny! ahh... righ!

First, if it doesn't work, just do a fresh install of windows.

Second... most of you might not need that mini image or whatsoever! Why... read below:

Sd4hide just deletes the SCSI entries in the Registry so be sure to run it from a writable source (like your HDD)... If you HIDE your drives you might as well close it! But don't delete backup.reg! After you've finished playing just rerun sd4hide and restore the registry entries!

Most of you have that stoned cloencd black edition or whatever that's called! Then you don't need the mini image (right!, mini... what's so mini about it?... it'll eat up around 1.8GB!)... just mount cd1 and run the game!

If you still have problems (even with a fresh install of windows) just ask for the cracked speed.exe by the criminals. I've looked at it and it seems that they have replaced something... most likely it's a blacklist of virtual drives!...

This problem... of cracking the game... sould have been over by now!

If you turn your Windows File Compression on, it will compress the MAXI-Image back to mini-format, most of the data in the Disc are Zeroes, but id needs the whole filesize to get read by the protection.
I personally have never problems of getting my backups to run. Some of you guys need some urgent wisdom of computer technology... ;)

AND 3MM, This has nothing to do with cracking, this is Copy-Protection Bug Hunting.

I know that the Compression attribute will do it... bu not all ppl use NTFS for all of the drives!

On thing, it's not correct to say it has a lot of zeros because a zero is actualy a 30... it's better if you say it has a lot of null bytes! Probably you've heard that allot so ... yes, "Some of you guys need some urgent wisdom of computer technology"

Regarding the cracking of the game... i did not say that this post was about cracking it but that cracking groups should already have this game cracked...

Right click mouse on My Computer,click Properties,then click tab hardware,under it click device manager,under it youll see DVD/CD Rom
disable your drive except for the SCSi drive now

I'm pretty sure that a Real NO-CD/DVD Crack will come out, but the real cracking takes time. Everyone can make an image of an original today in some minutes, but crackers need some time to do their work, and besides that, most of them have a real life and can't do this all day. ;)
The Copy Protections get better every time and so they need more time to break them.

Listen, there is no crack for NFSMW and I don't think there will be. To play the game with no CD you have to take the following steps:
1) Download "DAEMON Tools 4.0" - a small program for creating virtual drives.
2) Download "NFSMW-MINI" - it's a RAR file (about 800kb), but when you extrackt it, it becomes a 2GB DVD image. Put it somewhere in your comp.
3) Run the image using "DAEMON Tools 4.0".
4) Download "SafeDisc4 Hide" and put it in your game folder.
5) Run the sd4hide, press "Hide", PLAY!
This works for all of my friends so trust me. It doesn't metter if you have the CD version or XP-SP2.

You should get rid of CloneCD, Any DVD and similar programms- these cause a lot of emulator problems.
If you have installed ALcohol with Standart install, it will get a emulator error,
best reinstall it, deactivate the virtual Drive. And one Tip:
DAEMON V4 only works with DEACTIVATED IDE CD/DVD Drives, you need to deactivate them for Safedisk and Securom too. For Starforce you need to pull the cables.
This is cause Daemon is a SCSI-CD Emulator, and these are blacklistet by safedisk and securom until NO IDE CD/DVD is Present in the System.

Download the file in megagames Need for Speed: Most Wanted All
RiVERSTORM - Backup CD

Now create a folder called need for speed most wanted then extract all the files from the zip to that folder.

1. copy and paste the SafeDisc4 Blocker into the need for speed most wanted directory.

2. right click on the mini mdf file and go to properties then advance, tick the box that says compress to save disk space. Wait for it to stop loading then click apply then o.k.

3. copy the SafeDisc4 Blocker shortcut from the crack and put it were you like.

4. now all you need to do use daemon tools 4 and mount the mds file in that from that crack folder

then u go to anti blaxx 1.18 and click play from there works really easily for me

3.OK>>>Apply>>>Wait until it finished and then press OK again
4.Restart windows and remount NFSMW image :)

I tried to play the game NFSMW with deamon-tool v4 and the sd4 hider. But it doesn`t work. Everytime when i try to start the game i get a popup which say: "Please disable all CD/DVD emulation programs. And then restart the game".

The easiest way To Play Safedisk Games in DTools4 is to deactivate your CD/DVD Drives in Hardware Tab.
If you do so, you don't need any Hider Programms, cause DTools only got Problems if some IDE-DVD/CD's are connected.

Need For Speed Most Wanted BE

I have used these tools on a few computers and it has worked on all. It should work with any emulation tool but I have only used Daemon tools and Alcohol %120. The great thing about this is it starts sd4hide and the game by using the shortcut created after install. Then after your done the game you just hit enter and it exits sd4hide for you. I also included the patch to give you the cars, extra circut, and a few extras that you get in the Black Edition. Read the NFO's...........

hi all

i joined here to post this and for help and to report back on the NFS: Most Wanted v1.3 [MULTI] No-CD/WinXP Fixed EXE (http://m0114.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_nfs_most_wanted.shtml#NFS:%20Most%20Wanted%20v1 .3%20[MULTI]%20No-CD/WinXP%20Fixed%20EXE) , it works but it has a problem where it keeps crashing heres a screenie of the error message (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a355/Ang3lus/Image2.jpg) , i dont know where iam supposed to report this so iam posting it here. now the reason for the no cd and not no dvd is because my dvdrom is stuffed and wont read any dvd so i had to extract the dvdgame onto cd's. so now iam going to have to get daemon tools and sd4hider. the lastest version of sd4hider that i can find is SafeDisc 4 Hider v1.1 (26-11-2005) (http://cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_utils_8.shtml#SafeDisc%204%20Hider)

Update your game. The patch can be found at www.dlh.net, last version 1.3. Check the patches section, letter N. Download the crack from the link, apply to the updated version.

Yep, as said, it's illegal to supply a serial. Tech support is your best option ... otherwise, talk to your friend and see if he has it somewhere.

I have about 40 games including newest ones absolutely for free ! I just downloaded them using Bittorrent. Do you know that only that one little program makes 35% of all internet traffic ? It is very popular and its popularity is growing every day. You can not stop it. Maybe you in America would like to comply you laws but other people do not. Every game I have works just great ! I never had any problems with downloaded games. I can freely get nocd cracks and any serials over the internet. The sites providing nocd cracks do not know whether I bought this game or got it illegally, they just give me the cracks I need. All they can do is to try to convince me to legally buy the game. Moreover I can normally install all official patches and updates. They all get cracked with time eighter. For what purpose do you think DaemonTools is made for ? Not for legal games ! And it is a free program ! All the stuff you need to run illegal games is freely downloadoble from the internet. If some kidds can't figure out how to use that stuff, thats just problem of lacking experience. And I would say that the amount of hacking teams is not descending, it is growing every day. As wolfsrain said, the same is true for CD-RW drives when they first came out. They were intended to make legal backup copies of your discs (software and music) to prevent deterioration, and they ended up being used for illegal activities. Yes, it's much cheaper to download games illegally, but when you get hit with thousands of dollars in fines for each game, you will realize that it was better to have spent that $50 instead of $5000 ...

I know the rules and I do not intend to break them. I do not provide any serials or links to them and do not try to advertise wares. It is your own choise how to get the content you interested in. All I wont to say is that there are a lot of people that do not care about any copyright or some laws.
You right, the only way to exist for crack providing sites is to state that they provide cracks for legally owned games. But that doesn't mean that anyone else can't download that stuff. How can lawenforcement determine whether I download the wares or legally buy the information ? Only by providing a supervisor for each computer ?! Or maybe they can implement monthly raids in campuses ?! Campus local networks never been legal, but I think they will exist always and never change their nature. Why can't I share my music or games with my friends ?

Than they've made the television an industry.Sports is a business and now it's the gaming industry.So you see, entertainment became an industry.A business must produce profit.If there is no profit, the business go to bankrupcy.Of course they went over the common sense limit, as people didn't organize against the abuses.But see what happens when people make a stand(the lawsuit against Ubi and Starforce is proof of what the consumer can do,being organized and having the means to fight).There are tons of overlooked means to make the corporation bow.And not buying their products, taking the surveys who are telling them what we actually want or making petitions are some of the passive means to fight them. but that doesn't mean that you are allowed to break the law, as long as that law it's still in place.You can make them change the dumb laws, you have the means.Ubi sales dropped at their best titles since they put Starforce on their flag games(Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, POP).Of course the protection did its job.Yet,it wasn't unbreakable.But it took over a year.And Ubi didn't sold as much as they've expected.Depite the fact that their games were good.Late may they've announced that they will drop Starforce and they did that(Heroes V is the example).So there are means to show your discontent without breaking the law.

its saying that "you need to install dierctx 9.0c or greater"
the catch here is i have 9.0c installed in my machine.I even tried installing directx from the dvd of it, but still it gives that error.
