Reet here goes.
I recently bought a Radeon X800 XL PCI-Express 256MB ATI with a Athlon 64 3000+ (socket 939) and a MSI K8N Neo4-F motherboard.
The problem is that the PC, when everything is connected properly, doesn't even POST. The monitor looks as if it is in standby mode while all the fans whirr up and start to spin. I haven't got a danny what is wrong with it or which part is broken, if any. Any help would be of great assitance. Thanks in advance
Sounds like it's not passing the VGA test. Did you try simply reseating the video card? Also, does that motherboard have SLi? If so, make sure the card is in slot 1 not slot 2.

Try removing/checking the lead from the power switch to the motherboard. Secondly, did you buy a new power supply or use the old one. Some newer motherboards require an atx2.0 power supply.

I think you've wired the On/Reset buttons incorrectly, in my opinion getting those in the right places on the mobo is the hardest thing about building a computer, I also suggest resetting the Cmos.

If it works on other pc's (if you have some), we could eliminate a corupt GFX-Card.
Did you a BIOS-Reset, befor seating.
Did you also supply your Card with enough power? Common card's need 2 circuit points.

This might sound silly, but have you checked your monitor connections? Make sure that the cable into the GFX card and into the monitor are both connected properly. Might sound rediculous, but the simplest solution is usually the right one.
