I got TMS extreme to work. this is how.
First of all, i'm using the MIRROR image.
1. I've installed TMS and updated to extreme (the image was mounted in DT4 all the way).
2. i did the Starforce installation and rebooted.
3. upon reuming XP, i've disconnected my Combo drive (it's a laptop, so it's hot-swappable).
4. i've mounted the image once again in DT4.
5. i went to regedit and edited the Registry entry that corespond to my virtual DT4 drive (in my case drive F:) by changing it's name from "\DosDevices\F:" to "\DosDevices\F:.x" (all this time the image is still mounted).
6. i DIDN'T reboot my PC after the registry change.
7. launched and played the game without any problem.
8. after i was done, i've reverted th registry name.
9. that's all.
10. the registry entry can be found on "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices".

- important note - previously, just diconnecting the drive would not work, so DT4 does help...

thinking of it, there are 2 more things:
- i think there is no reason it won't work without the renaming stuff.
- i think ZoneAlaem cause some problems...

But still not working.

Even reinstalled the game using DT4.
Trackmania sunrise is working 100% using Daemon v4.00 + Starforce Nightmare.
But after patching it to Extreme it wont pass the protection.
Still searching for a solution.

Works with xTreme 2.
Just unplug the drives...

And certainly use DT4 !

NO, it's NOT possible to play Trackmania Sunrise with Extreme patch without unplugging the drives.

Trackmania Sunrise (Starforce 3.4)
Trackmania Sunrise with Extreme patch (Starforce 3.6)

I have read that with SF 3.6 and above the Starforce Nightmare 'Disable CD' method no longer works.
Unplugging is the only way for the moment.
Maybe if DT4 with vIDE is released unplugging will no longer be needed ???

where did you get this MIRROR image? Is it the same as the MegaGames image??
