Hi. I am a total newbie when it comes to VCD's. I have got an AVI file and I want to stick it on a CD so that it'll play in a DVD player. I have Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum and it has a feature to 'make video CD's that will play in your DVD player'. This feature is called 'VCD Creator'. It gives you the chance to add a file to put on the CD. When I click 'add' and add the AVI file it says it is not possible because 'I need to use an MPEG Encoder that supports Video CD Encoding'. I guess its telling me that AVI files don't work on VCD's. How do I convert the AVI file so i can put it on a VCD. Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks!

you need to convert the avi to mpeg(probably 2 mpeg files if it's a normal film)..

check www.vcdhelp.com

it explains the conversion process in detail:)

Get a program called tmpgenc and then u load the .avi file into it,then u load the vcd template, pal or ntsc depending on the frame rate or the avi.
