When I run the FEAR one, Zone Alarm tells me that it is trying to monitor my keyboard strokes. You sure that it is safe? (Norton doesn't have a problem with it).

I scan all files before uploading them, and make sure they are clean of any adaware/spyware or viri.

I double checked these files, and they are definitely clean.

Yeah, I figured as much. But, Zone Alarm says that the Fear.exe trying to record mouse movements and keyboard input when it first runs. I have never seen this message before on any other executables that I have run. I just refused it access to do those things and the game still runs with this no-cd patch.

Would the noDVD work on the cd version of FEAR. I have the CD version and applied this, it seems to work fine, but after a cutscene or when i save it gets choppy and eventually crashses and says "Ran out of Memory" Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you much.

Just use the DVD image you can download at gamecopyworld to play online without your CD/DVD.

I´m From Portugal, and i buy the FEAR two months ago, everything was fine until i download the new version patch 1.03, now the game doesnt work....and when i click on the fear icon it says that the original cd could not be found. I try to re-install the game but the problem doesn´t dissapear. i try several things but i cant play the game. I need help please.

If it's the same problem I had I had to change the compatibility to Windows 2000. Try that out.

Go to "Compatibility" tab

Click the check mark that says "Run this in compatibility mode for:"

Select "Windows 2000"

Click "Apply"

Download AntiSECURom from here

Mount the image with the appropriate software then start the AntiSECURom.exe and select the FEAR.exe in the folder installed on your PC ... the game will start!

Use Daemon Tools ... I think it's better. I find it easiest to make a folder on the desktop to put all the mini-images, so it's not hard to find the one I want and select it.

I guess there still must not be a 1.3 no cd fix. None of the things mentioned have worked, so i guess ill have to revert back to uninstalling and reinstalling to 1.2 and using the no cd for it.

this image i got from gamecopyworld works from version 1.0 to 1.3 im using directors cut so it works for that i use daemon tools 4 and "virtual cd hide" ill attach it if i can. Ok for all the ppl who need it simplified :newbie:

1st: extract image files to were u want desktop-my docs watever just so u remember were it is.

2nd install daemon tools (4 if possible) and virtual cd hide

3rd use daemon to mount the image (have virtual cd hide on) then go to the Fear.exe and press properties>compatibility then select the "run this program in" and select 2000.

4th run game

Most likely the English UK version I think, I downloaded the 1.02 from fileplanet, the same goes with the 1.03 patch.
