I have f.e.a.r and i burned the mds/mdf image and I installed but when I try to play it says security app not enabled or something like that. I have dameon tools and alcohol 120 and anti-blaxx but I do not know how to do it...I messed around with some settings and mounted the image a couple diff ways and the main screen loads up but when I hit play I get an error message.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong and what anti-blaxx settings I shold use?
It said something like use anti-blaxx, sr_stop, or whatever else that will prevent blacklisting of alcohol. What does that mean?
Please help

Here is what to do
1. Make sure you have Alcohol 120% version 1.9.5 build 2802 or newer.
2. Make sure you have Virtual CD Hide 1.0.0.4 or newer (you can get it here: hxxp://www.gameburnworld.com/dl/dl3.php?file=VirtualCDHide%20v1.0.0.4.rar
3. Mount the image in Alcohol 120%, and shut down Anti-Blax and D-Tools if you have them on.
4. Run Virtual CD Hide. An icon should appear at the taskbar amongst the windows clock.
5. Right click on the Virtual CD Hide icon in the taskbar, and select "Hide all virtual drives"
6. Right click on your FEAR icon on your desktop/startmenu/wherever and set Compability Mode to Windows 2000
7. You're good to go! Enjoy this great game!

It sounds to me that you are not using the original, and that you instead are using a downloaded version.
Keep in mind that we only help with original game issues here.
Anymore warez suspicion and this thread has to be closed.

Anti-Blaxx never works, you should use the no cd crack instead
Bonrbreaker you are a tribute to the human race. The steps you illustrated on the fear emulation fixed my problem after many futile attempts.
I thank you and bid you goodday.

It won't work with the F.E.A.R. 1.01 Patch though. Just get the cracked exe and engine dll from http://www.gamecopyworld.com though.

Does the above mentioned process no longer work on the 1.06 patch? I have been searching for a solution for days now to no avail. I purchased F.E.A.R. from the store, not an illegal version, and created an image of the DVD using Alcohol 120% as a .mds file. I have tried the following:
mounting image on DT 4.03HE with emulators on and off
mounting image on A120%
I know the above two do not work on their own and need an external program to hide the virtual cd roms. I have downloaded both virtual CD hide v1.0.0.4 and a different one I found called SR7.stop becuase I am under the impression that F.E.A.R. uses SecureROM7 (is that correct?), but neither program can recognize the fact that I have any virtual drives to hide. the VCDHide does nothing when "Hide all virtual drives" is selected and the second program says "Nothing to hide!". I guess A120 and DT are too good at emulating a physical drive.
I don't want to download a no CD crack becuase last time I did that, the game wouldn't work correctly and I had to reinstall the game. Does anyone have any thoughts?
thanks a bunch,
mike

A crack is not available yet. Use the original disc until a working no-cd is released.

Well that's good news. Thanks acal. Looks like I can put the disc back into the box for now, knowing that I won't need it for a while. Good news about the free multiplayer too. Hopefully people who haven't experienced F.E.A.R before in either single player or multiplayer will give it a go.
