Athlon 64 and windows xp

Do i need a 64 bit version of XP or will windows xp pro with SP2 work? Also will I need 64 bit software or will all current windows programs run on it? Thanks in advance.

Your current version of windows with sp2 will work fine. You do not need 64 bit programs as all current software will work on your machine.

At present it is not worth upgrading to xp64bit as there are insufficient drivers for all hardware.

Oh my you mean XP64 is not jsut alil 64bit boosted XP upgrade but a full blowen shoty MS OS 0-o good to know I shall stay clear of it ><
