Hi everybody.

I've started a Heavy Metal homepage which mainly concentrates on lyrics.
The page is very new, so theres not a whole lot of lyrics yet, but its growing steady.

Please let me know what you think about the contents, design and user friendlyness...

If it goes popular, it'll get its own domain sometime...

Hmmm...

Good color scheme, Simple>User-friendly layout, Good pages, Plenty of catagories...

However, More content (obviously, it is a new site), Better language translation (it didn't translate everything, buttons, titles, ect.), and a little less obvious title.

Overall Grade: B+
Good job sofar! Needs a little more creativity to make it stand out from the crowd. Just fix a few of these little things and it realy will rock.


-Note- Bachalor's in Graphic arts from Purdue University. I do know what I'm talking about...

Thank you for your kind words :) though something confuses me. Better language translation on the buttons? I only see english text on the buttons, or is it my english that needs to be better? lol. I cant seem to remove the language selection drop down menu, even if i have unchecked it in the settings menu, and that annoys me a bit, cause i want it to be english only
About the title, i figured that my nickname is usually darkbow (well, my domain is) and its a homepage about metal, so Darkbows Metal Page came naturally he he.

If you could point out the stuff you would want to change directly to me (im a tard) i'd appreciate it alot.

Well, if its going to be an English only site, then everything is fine. Just get rid of the translation button so you don't confuse the foreigners :)

The Title is fine, I'm talking about making it a little less linear. Mix it up a bit, make it flashy... The grunge industrial look works, maybe add some spray-painted titles in. (hint hint - make sure to get Linkin Park and Skindrid in that list...)

I did :) ... It seems that i cant get 100% rid of the multiligual functions, so i deleted every translation except english.

I am graphically impared so i am really bad at making graphics, thats why i kept the look, but if you want, i can mail you the psd file, and you can let my know what you mean... And dont worry, Linkin Park will come, and i'll make sure Skindrid will come too. But its a long process and im not even done with A yet... lmfao... (im adding in alphabetical order)

Well, the preliminary results are looking decent. It was a bear to get that file down right. With it being a packaged page, the setup you have now will work fine. I'll look into a few tweeks and post them back here in a little while...
