Hi All,
can somebody told me where I find a crack for Total Overdose? THis would be nice. I am the legal owner of the game, but I hate it when Cds/DvDs ar in me computer. Thank you for help.

Sorry but me englisch is bad, I come from Germany!. it would be also nice when somebody can told me an German site like Megagames or an other side where I can find cracks.

ok i know how to do
1. goto the tod.exe file

2.set the compatability mode to windows 2000

3.use virtual cd hide to hide your virtual drive

4.click the shortcut it should run !!!! :redlaugh:

Yeah its easy...
If you get "emulator detected" you need not only anti-blaxx, you need the ccd-anti.rar too, because it fixes blacklisstings in Anti-blaxx.


If you get an error "security modul bla bla " then you must go to your Total Overdose directory, right click on TOD.exe and set in the Compatibility Tag to windows95 compatibility, seems weird, but this is the way it runs...

You have to mount the image too(after you've made one)!

Yeah and Anti-Blaxx need a fix first to wash away a blacklisting, its called ccd-anti.rar
you can get it on emule/edonkey net

Oh before i forget: You need a proper Image that has Securom RMPS on it, and you need to turn ON your RMPS Emulation in Either DaemonT/Alcohol,
If that don't work you don't have the original, your RMPS is llikely BAD or your DVD isn't capable of reading Exact RMPS-Data.

Hey, did the exe change work? Unfortunately all of us have the same exe. I check this thread every 2 hours for a guide step by step of how to fix this problem we have. I have completed the following steps in how to run a backup for Total Overdose with still no luck

I am using the latest version of Alcohol 120% in which I have created an image for the game, I then mounted the image

I have Anti-Blaxx 1.16

I have changed the .exe compatibility to Windows 95/98/2000

I downloaded VirtualCD Hide v1 3.0.0.4 and ran it :rolleyes:

1. Anti-Blaxx
replace your Anti-Blaxx .exe with the EXE in here http://www.freewebs.com/gangsterangel/Anti-Blaxx.zip

My Anti-Blaxx is setup like this.

Ok, i have my friendly Day. There can be the case that your DVD isn't capable of getting a flawless RMPS reading, which means the image can't run.
If you have tried EVERYTHING that is descriped in this Thread and the Game still resists to run try the following :

Your Image Made with Alcohol has 2 files a .mdf and a .mds, the .mds is the file in which the rmps-Data is stored, so delete your .mds, download the one i've attached to this Post (its packed with winrar because MG don't like mds,its not a valid file to upload)and Rename it to the same Name as your .mdf

Example : You have an Image TO.mdf and TO.mds, so delete TO.mds, copy my Total_Overdose.mds to the Directory where your TO.mdf is and Rename it to TO.mds. Now you should be able to play.

This is for The Multilangual Version of Total Overdose, cause i live in Germany and have the European Version.

As there are some games which were protected with securom 7 and have been cracked, couldn't it be possible to develop a generic securom tool to remove the protection as for securom 6???

I don't think that its that easy today. They change the Securom Version nearly on every new release, so no, i don't think. It seems not as generic as it was on old securoms.
But Hope is never futile... ;)

I have the original disk but now i can play without it :)

I just made the Image with Alcohol 120%, i have TOD.mdf and TOD.mds, i downloaded the .mds attached on Diranar's post and replaced it.
Then i mount the Image on a virtual drive with Daemon Tool's (ALL Options On), Hide this virtual drive with Virtual cd Hide and launch the game on the virtual drive !

4 Because they added some nice new blacklists agaist antiblaxx
you need todo the following:

* Install antiblaxx v1.16
* extract ccd-anti.rar and use this patched antiblaxx v1.16 exe
replacing the old one.

5 Play and Enjoy!

If you have the orginal cd then you can play with out the cd using gamejackal, it basicly makes a crack and then it could be possible that u can send the crack to others, it shows u how to do it so don't worry if you don't know how to do it. hoped it helped

This is what i did.

1. Mounted .mdf with Daemon Tools
2. Installed the game
3. Downloaded Diranar's .mds and mounted with Alcohol 120% (latest version)
4. Started Virtual Cd Hide, and choose "Hide all virtual drives"

This message comes up when starting TOD.exe:
Emulator Detected!
Please deactivate virtual drive and emulation software

Make a shortcut to it, then copy it to your start menu-> programs -> startup

AGAIN for absolute NOOBS :

1. Mount Image with Alcohol
2. Install via Image
3.Install Antiblaxx and the ccd-anti patched exe
4.Use Antiblaxx and make a profile; Use the tod.exe
5.IMPORTANT!!! Go to your game folder, right click Totaloverdose.exe , check the "compatibility Mode", Same fpr TOD.exe
6. Start the Damn Game via Antiblaxx, NOT over Startmenue.
7. IF it says "Security Modul Blah " you've forgoten Point 5
8. If it says "Emulator Detected" you've got REAL Problems, forgot to overcopy the ccd-anti antiblaxx.exe
9. If it says " Insert Original Disc" you have got a BAD Rmps reading, in that case look at this Thread, i've posted a working mds already.

The CCD-Anti is an patched Antiblaxx.exe, you need to copy it into the installation Directory of Antiblaxx.

I've attached the mds one more time, maybe Magagames-Server are not as stable as i thought, in case you cant download it:

You can get alternate .mds on the Site www.copybase.ch for the case your DVD can't read exact RMPS/DPM data (Securom/Starforce)
its in german so
1. click at bottom on "Seite betreten"
2. On the Mainpage search for
"Copybase // Kopierschutz-Datenbank // Suchformular "
3. in the field "Name der Software" you can type in the name of the Game
you need a .mds for, for example "Total Overdose" then click on "Finden!"
4. Search for your gamename in the list and click on it
5. On the right Border is the Field "DPM-Dateien" click on it
and download your mds.

i got "Insert Original Disc"....

I did the same following the list...Alcohol tells me the *.mds file seems to be 0.00 Mb of size and could not mounted on the virtual CD.

well i got it to work with the mds file from diranar2004 (thx dude) only one problem... the game exits after about 20-30 mins of play, i guess its ok for a temp backup. still the game is beautifull and hope someone will come out with a nocd crack.

try to do this people without using the antiblaxx.(on windows xp pro sp1 works fine for me)

instal alcohol 120% lasta version.3105.
mount image and instal game.
leave the image there.
now use VirtualCDHide v1.0.0.4.open it.choose hide all virtual drives.
go to the game shortcut/right click/properties/compatibility/choose there win 2000/apply/ok.
play the game.

The Way i explained has nothing to do with Cracking, its only a way to keep a securom Backup Playable. This is the heaviest Securom of all time, mainly because of the whole Emulator-Blacklistings. Its really Nasty...

hmm... i have sp2 and the way i ran TOD is very simple...

i tried everything (diranar steps, other things), but nothing worked...
so here is how i ran TOD...

1) 1st i did that win2000 thing with those .exe files...
2) mounted image on DaemonTools...
3) so i used VirtualHide ...
4) then miracle happend...

That's a bug in Total Overdose, the only way i know is to turn on the compatibility mode on windowsXP, to win98/2000 or something...
Don't ask me how to do it if you have win2000.

Without Antiblaxx SR detects daemon tools and/or alcohol and with antiblaxx the security module couldn't be loaded.

Listen, zen. I am a programmer for 15 years. i know what i did. It has to do something with windows registry, and thats why the game won't run on some systems, even if you do everything described. New Daemon tools will hopefully be able to solve that problem

OK. I've made an image with Alcohol 120%. And it works perfectly using the patched Anti-blaxx 1.16 and Alcohol for mounting.

My question is, Is there a way of making a mini-image for this game? The full image is quite big. Anyone had success using a mini-image?

No, Mini-Images only fit to old Starforce and Safedisc V 1/2/3/4 games.
I've seen one case in which a Mini-Securom Image was made , but many users couldn't get it to run and i don't know how they did it at all. I don't think there will be one. Waiting for a No-DVD crack is the best we will get...

I see, I'll have to keep playing with this full image in order to play without my dvd. well, at least I can keep my original out of harm. It`s mandatory to do that in my country, there are no official distributors here, so you have to order your games online, and most of those "refund" and "replacement" clausules only apply to the distributor's original countries.
It´s a pity though, there´s a HUGE gaming community here, but most of them tend to rely on piracy to get their games because of this lack of official presence.
Maybe instead of focusing on great anti protection schemes, the companies should take a look at the needs of their potential customers.

Hi everyone DO THIS STEPS TO PLAY! Not any crack yet but do this. GUARANTEE THAT THIS WORKS! (1)Download and install Daemon tools, (2)Start Daemon tools and right click on Daemon Tools tray icon and select Emulation, All options ON. (3)Right click on Daemon tools icon go to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM, Set number of devices..., 1 drive. (4)Right click on Daemon tools icon go to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM, Device 0: [], Mount image, browse to and highlight the file ccd-tod.mds, and click open. (5)The game will install... (6)The game will put an icon on your desktop... This process works 100%. Tested on different computers...

1. Make an image with Alcohol 120% (should get the mds and mdf files).
2. Replace the old mds file with the file given by the user Diranar2004 (http://www.mgforums.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=3158&d=1127933995).
3. Rename the downloaded mds file with the same name as the mdf file.
4. Mount the image with Alcohol 120% (not daemon tools).
5. Download Antiblaxx (with the added file), again, given by the user Diranar2004 (http://www.mgforums.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=3159&d=1128163356).
6. Install Antiblaxx and replace the exe with the new one which is also in the packed file you downloaded in the previous step.
7. Run Antiblaxx and edit the settings as follows:
- Show the path to the Alcohol 120% executable.
- Method: Hide entrys.
- Protection Securom 7>Show the path to the TOD.exe
8. Download Virtual-CD-Hide (http://www.mgforums.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=3160&d=1128163356).
9. Hide all the virtual drives with the virtual cd hide (should be one virtual drive). Right click in the icon right of the clock and choose hide all...blah blah.
10. Enter the installed dir of Total Overdose and right click on the TotalOverdose.exe. Change the compatibility for Windows 98/ME.
11. Same for the TOD.exe.
12. Eject the game from the dvd-rom (if it's inside).
13. Right click on the Antiblaxx icon in the tray, choose run game>the name you gave for the game.

Enjoy the game (since it's awesome).

okay i got it to work after about 500 trys and 500 different ways. the way i got it to work is

i used daemon tools and virtual-cd-hide

2. hide all virtual drives with virtual cd hide.

3. with daemon tools make sure all emulation options are on.

4. mount ccd-tod.mds with daemon tools and install the game.

5. change both tod.exe and totaloverdose.exe in the TOD directory to windows compatibility 2000.

6. run the ++++in game!

make sure you always use virtual-cd-hide and daemon tools to start up the game every time... have fun

I don't seem to have those image files everyone here is talking about.
I have the complete game DVD in the form shown in the attached picture *
No MDS/ISO or files of that sort , just all the complete DVD files of it on my hard drive ( I'll also mention that I have no DVD burner).
Game installs smoothly from the hard drive but I'm (obviously) asked to insert the game CD everytime I try to run it.
Missing the image files you've mentioned here I cannot complete the process of trying to run it without the presence of the original DVD.
I'm guessing it's not just downloading that MDS file from here, as it's probably just an equivalent of a small CUE file and I would still need the big file...
help anyone? :(

If you could imagine the Real name of the DVD , then you could make a new Image via Nero burning Rom's Image recorder, save the bunch as Cue/Bin Combination, kill the cue and rename the .bin to .mdf; copy my MDS to it and rename it to the .mdf Name. THIS WORKS TOO.
You only need the main Data to recreate a full Image, Data's are Data's...

Okay guys dont normaly post, but can see peeps are having trouble. So heres how I did it.

I use D-Tools 3.47

All emulations on

Because I have little harddrive space I copied the images to a DVD, and mounted the images from that to a virtual drive (mad I know but I couldn't get a mini-image to work)

Used anti-baxx with the downloadable ant-baxx.exe and turned intelligent stealth on.

turned the TOD.exe to windows 2000 compatable

and it worked.

It actually worked for me, I deleted my ISO image and gave an Original mdf I just downloaded a try. even though the ISO image (after renaming it to .mdf) installed perfectly with the MDS file the game wouldn't run.
the game both installs and runs like a charm with the mdf file I downloaded.
So I'd advice what that other guy said : don't try to run it from and iso/bin image as it'd install perfectly but would give you various errors when you try to run the game after.
Just get an original mdf file for this.
Oh yeah, and this game sucks! :) so boring I uninstalled it one hour after playing it.
I can't believe I stressed out over this lousy game...

It'd be the exact same tod.exe you have , so it wouldn't work.
It's how you install the game prior to trying to run it, using the method in this thread. you're going to need the original MDF file and the MDS you can find in this thread.

Yeah, the original Exe works, i always try To use an Image/Mini-Image of my loved Games instead of a crack, its beter for Patches etc.
The Protection of the Game is Securom, this is a joke.
I don't know why all the people have problems with this Protection, i see no Problem at all to make a copy of the original with Alcohol.
But i do my antiblacklistings by Hand maybe thats why it works for me, i have tried Antiblaxx and Virtual-CD Hide and was not amused by the Proggs.

Hi everyone DO THESE STEPS TO PLAY!
(1)Download and install Daemon tools (http://www.download.com/Daemon-Tools/3000-7970_4-10376892.html?tag=lst-0-2)
(2)Start Daemon tools and right click on Daemon Tools tray icon and select Emulation, All options ON.
(3)Right click on Daemon tools icon go to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM, Set number of devices..., 1 drive.
(4)Right click on Daemon tools icon go to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM, Device 0: [], Mount image, browse to and highlight the file ccd-tod.mds, and click open.
(5)The game will install... (complete installation
(6)The game will put an icon on your desktop...
(7)Once install is complete, highlight the desktop icon Total Overdose, right click it, click on properties, go to Compatibility tab, check the box Run this program in compatibility mode for:, select Windows 2000, click OK
(8)Download and install VirtualCDHide v1.0.0.4, run the program, right click VirtualCDHide tray icon, click on hide all virtual drives.
(9)Click on Total Overdose desktop icon, play game.
Enjoy

If you are having problems make sure that the compatibility mode for TOD.exe and TotalOverdose.exe is set to Windows 2000.
Also please make sure you install the game from the mounted image, and make sure you use the same device number with daemon when running the game and installing it to avoid problems.
Finally if all else fails make sure you have a working mds file

emmh.. okey! I bought the game yesterday together with a friend of mine! Therfore I wanted to make it possible to play it without the DVD!
First I installed it, and then i made a backup file with Alcohol 120%! I use daemon tools and Virtual-Cd-Hide, I have also set the compatible mode on TOD.exe and Totaloverdose.exe to Windows2000. But nomather what I do, I get the same message : "Original disc could not be found or authenticated"

Thanx for all the advice from everybody! I tried everything and only one woked for me:

1. Install Alcohol 120% 1.9.5.3105
2. Enable RMPS emulation in Alcohol 120%
3. Mount image with Alcohol 120% and install
3. Use SR7.Stop to hide virtual drive with image inserted
4. Run game from desktop shortcut

After a few hours of frustration.. the simplest method worked for me.. ;)

I have the same problem - the game runs but instead of any menu or sth there's only a black screen which dissapears after a second and then there's windows screen again.

If you can't get the game to work with a no-cd fix, you'll have to use your original game disc.

guis it is easy realy. what you need to do
1. install deamon tools
2. instal CURErom
3.in cure rom you must do that:
-create new cure rom profile
-aplication in our case(TOD.exe)
-image mounting software - > i do not want to use any virtual cd/dvd....
-shortcut name tod...

than go to game directori and make game compatibile with windows 95
run tod icone ( that icone that cure rome create it) and must work

Hi,

I installed the game on my xp with sp3. Its new considering the thread started on 2005. And i tried daemon tools, antiblanx, power iso and the game woked for me .....2 times when i used something among them. If i change compatibility mode to 2000, the game doesnt even show even any comments like 'NO cd inserted' and shows just nothing. I was trying for quite some time using every softwares but doesnt work. How should i make it work on xp sp3.

PS: I know that both times when game worked, b4 the game strted, when i clicked on TOD.exe, the mouse pointer turned to a CD icon, and then the game strarted. Do you know which software among the above turns the mouse pointer to a cd icon?

Please help
