hmm... makaveli.. bad move... dont even risk it just take the damn thing out cuz once it gets detected ur # gets blocked from the Xbox network. Actually, there is a special transmission code that gets sent to the hard drive THROUGH the mod chip, and I believe that if there is even a way to get rid of that... if u can get rid of that code THEN there is a possibility.... contact MS to see if u can FORMAT their xbox hard drives :rolleyes: :D

good for u dude good for u! i've been out of the forums lately cause my manager cought me using internet while i was working so i almost go fired so it's really hard to me get online! anyways getting back to the point! it seems that is a server issue! if i can't go online the 15th then i will really worry about it! however i really don't think that they detect my mod chip cause i have a switch! i always turn off my mod when i go live! and i never turn it on when i'm using the original hdd i only turn it on when i use my 80gb hdd! there r ppl that can't connect and they don't even know what a mod chip so don't worry it's probably a server issue!

Take it out the XBox... put it in yer PC, and format that way. Or get someone else's XBox HD, and create an image of it (using Ghost or something) and paste the image on to your XBox disk.

This "might" work if u don't know how to use ghost. Pull a friends x-box hard drive out plug it into ur comp IDE 2 Primary and plug ur x-box hard drive into IDE 2 Secondary. Start windows and format and copy everything from ur friends hd to urs. However, you might have to sys ur HD. Just reboot to dos with bootdisk and type this if you have to sys it. sys e:<--use the drive letter that is assign to ur hardrive.

it will not work don't try that cause u can only make a copy of ur own hdd cause there some info on xboxdash.xbe that can only work with ur xbox if u try to use that dash.xbe on another xbox it wont work!

big news!!! i mihgt be getting cable or dsl.....but i'm still confused about how much xbl costs.....i no u get a year free, but how much after that? also: my friends gamertag is MASTER SMOKE, mine will prob be nosolution or something like that
