Does anyone know how to make F1 2000 v1.09 work on Win XP?

I have tried all the patches for EA's F1 2000 Classic v. 1.09 and added Glide, and also tried using different compatability modes for the game on Win XP but the game dies right after I try to load the game after selecting test race or an actual race. I have MS virtual PC and I am going to install Win 98 SE on it and if that doesn't work install a dual boot so I can run the game using Win 98 SE BUT I want to know if this game can run on windows XP. Is there any patch that can do this?

updaets drivers n everything microsoft basically, maybe ur GFX card driver might need updated?
no ide but maybe thats the problem?

doesnt matter, i get all my games working on xp fine with no trouble, even old win95-98 stuff like toca touring car championship 1, tank racer and delta force the veryfirst one. all work 100 al be it with crap resolutions lol as they dont go higher than 800x600 mostly
