Hello,

My name is Afred and I am doing some research into the 'Effects of
File Sharing on Record Sales' for my final year dissertation. I would
like to invite you to visit my website (if possible) at:
http://www.my3q.com/home2/24/koyu/20409.phtml and complete the
questionnaire. This will only take you about 5 minutes to
complete.

There is a brief questionnaire which asks you about Music file sharing
and CD purchases. All results will be anonymous.

If you can help, please submit the questionnaire by 1st September 2005
and forward this mail to others.
If you have any other questions, comments or queries, please email me
at afred.ko@gmail.com

Thank you in advance,

Regards,

Afred Ko

You're questionairre is flawed.

Q35 Do listening to MP3 lead you to purchase a music CD that you would not have purchased otherwise from legal sources?

If you already have the CD and have transferred the files as mp3 to your computer you are not going to buy it again. There is no option to state that you have transferred the mp3's from a legally purchased CD - therefore I am unable to answer this question as either answer would be incorrect.

Q37 If copying or downloading of free MP3 files without permission from the copyright owners is restricted, will you start purchasing music CD or downloading MP3 files from legal sources? - As I don't download mp3's how do I answer this question.

Otherwise a very good survey but you have not accounted for people who buy Vinyl because thay want the original, and have no interest in downloading music because it is cheaper.

Some of us still prefer records purely for the sound quality. Could this be configured into your questionnaire?
