I downloaded a file that was split into 22 RAR archives for ease of downloading. However when i tried to extract the files it gets to around 96% when i get a winrar error. It tells me two CRC files are corrupt or something along those lines. I guess its something to do with One archive, but it dosent tell me which ones. I already dled all the last files because it got so far through extraction before the error but it didnt work. Does anyone know a way to pinpoint the corrupt file?

The download process of the file maybe went wrong and the file could be corrupt/incomplete you might need to redownload the file again also if you downloaded the file from some p2p network could be a corrupted fake that could be waste of time re-download it

It does work, it isnt from p2p, its from a private ftp server which is totally reliable. I downloaded it again and got the same message, isnt there a program that can scan the files and tell me which one is corrupt? There is 22 archives at 50mb each, and only one is corrupt.

there are some program to repair compressed files Easy Recovery Pro is an example can repair .ZIP .DOC Excel documents but I haven heard fo many programs to RAR files Actually If I remember correctly Winrar has an option to repair Rar files but when the file is compressed has be saved with a recovery record feature that most people that compress the files never use without that option is not possible (via Winrar)
