C&C Generals Zero Hour Patch

I want to use the online fuction of C&C generals Zero Hour but when ever i go to the internet bit it tells me that i must download an update inorder to play online. I went to the EA site and looked at the list of patchs, there aren't any for the UK do you know where i could get one for the UK or can i use one of the other patchs from the EA site. I though i might be able use one of the patch for a country near me like france.
Also can any one tell me where i am supposed to put the file because there are no instuctions on the EA site on what to do with it.
I was told that the US patch will work in the UK but i would like a second opinion because i would have though the US was the least likely to work in the UK.

Last time I patched ZH it automatically download the patch while in game.

Get the patches from here (http://www.eagames.com/official/cc/generals/us/demos.jsp?state=6) you need to download the patch to the games directory which is, C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour

Download the north american patch, the other patches would work, but all your text would be in a different launguage.
