I have been dissapointed in these forums to see that NO ONE has ever used, let alone even KNOW what hotline is. Hotline is a file sharing program, where you connect to servers, which have certain files people are looking for. You do NOT connect to one server and see EVERYONES files, you have one user, who has a server, filled with anything that he/she wants to share in his/her hard drive. It is better than ANY program like kazaa. It is very good, with many servers having over 100gb of stuff like full version applications, full games, PS2, Xbox, Dreamcast games, mp3s, full divx, and music videoz. You usually, also, go almost five times as fast as you will EVER download on KaZaA. If you would like to see how your life will become easier finding all the best backups of games appz and movies, and even an easier way to get MP3's, read my instructions below. ~download HOTLINE CLIENT - NOT HOTLINE SERVER, from the links provided
~after downloaded AND INSTALLED, go to www.tracker-tracker.com
~Click on the hotline link on that page
~Use the server search and the file search to find what files/servers you are looking for
~Once you find what you are looking for, click on the link that goes TO THE SERVER
~An agreement will pop up. Scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN, until the "agree" button shows up. Also, please read the agreement so that you know what rules the server has
~Hotline should open up at this time - if it doesn't already open the required windows for you, click on the third button from the left (two faces - one black and one white) to view the users connected - click on the newspaper button, two down from the user button, to see the news and see what the rules are for the server - next to that is the file button, click that to see what files the server has
~Most servers, you need to ask the ADMIN of the server (the admin has red text in the user button) for permission to download. Please keep in mind, that you have to upload something of better or equal value to be eligible to download stuff in most servers. Anyway, once you find an admin (if there is one) double click on his text. Most likely, a window will pop up, where you can messgae him/her.
~If you can't talk to the admin, for whatever reason, whether it may be the admin is not there to give you an account to the server, or the admin does not allow you to talk, read the news for access. Some servers will say you need to leave a post in the news to see if what you want to get is elligable. Many servers, though, will let you download as long as you upload SOMETHING. If you cant download, contact the admin in the way that the news tells you to.
