I installed CS 1.1 and then I downloaded CS 1.5 full from counter-strike.net and I installed it over cs 1.1. I enter the game and when I create a lan game and I want to go in the game I receive the message "can't load library d:\sierra\cstrike\cl_dlls\client.dll". I dont know what the problem is and I went in the directory cl_dlls and client.dll exists. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!

right first of all everyone plays on CS 1.6 now i dunno where u can directly download that from but i advise installing steam found here:
www.steampowered.com (http://www.steampowered.com/)
download steam and it SHOULD update your game for you, to the 1.6 version and any other patches for it or steam patches, you NEED steam to play online now

personally i think cs 1.5 have always been the best cs, but that wont help this guy, so here's the solution to your problem:
You need to download the newest patch for the hl 1.0 engine, then install cs and the update, i dont really know where the update can be found though :/

yeah BUT if he downloads STEAM which he WILL need to play CS online then STEAM will autoupdate and i not played 1.5 but i know everyone is on 1.6 or CS:source.

maybe u think source is 1.6? i dunno as i have 1.6 and source, source sucks, the game runs slow for me...

Get steam and it autoupdates for you crissul88

Cs 1.5 is "steam-free" but can be played with steam (the steam version of 1.5) as "third party mod" -> http://www.gamesfire.de/filebase_details.php?file_id=20193&sort=caption&order=desc&limit_page=50

Anyway you need a valid key, to play cs 1.5 online, its not for free :P

Most 1.5 servers have been shut down now anyways, so using 1.6 is the best option.
Altho I think steam sucks

yes steam does suck lol

especially when one has a download limit like me. . .
