Ok.. so when i do the no cd patch.. the game starts and then the microsoft error thingy pops up.. Starbreeze engine has encountered a problem and it needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvinience.. and then I have to close it.. any idea.. anyone?

Have you put the cracks in the correct folder locations? If you didn't then put them into the right locations and try again. If you did put them in the right locations then you might need to consider installing SP2. If that doesn't work then it's possible that your CPU doesn't support the SSE instruction set (usually used in Intel Pentium 4 and AMD Athlon XP/64 CPUs) and so you might need to uninstall and reinstall the game using the bootstrap patch from VUGames.

there are different folders in your game dir with different *.exe - use the exe from the SSE folder and your problem will be solved. i had the same problem last time

i tried using it from all SSE and it didnt work.. and im pretty sure I have service pack installed .. i will try with the boot strap now

So why don't you use your original CD's until the no-CD crack is sorted out?

becuz.. its sort of goes like this.. my bro has the game on his comp.. and i have it on my comp.. and he plays it like all day

Which you must know is against the End Users Liceince Agreement that you agreed to when installing the game.
Go and buy another copy for your brothers birthday so you both have one each.

Nivek is true.

As dumb this law sounds, you should have two copies of the game... one for each computer.
Don't tell me this is stupid and such, because I know that's one dumb law, but we at MGF have to respect it, so I have to close this thread.
