Hi
I am knew to this forum, so i am not sure if this is the right place to post this topic.
I made an image of San andreas from the dvd, and installed the game by mounting it on a pc. Then i copied the image to an external harddisk, an tried to install it on another pc, but know it cant read some audio files, then i tried installing with the original dvd, but it says the same. I ignored the 3 files it couldnt read. And copied over the crack, started the game, and then it just exits after playing some minutes.
Why cant i know install from my original DVD ?? any help ?

I'm not sure that it's actually the DVD issue that's causing your game to crash. I'm having very similar problems, but I noticed that it always crashes a few seconds after it starts raining. I'm guessing that either 1) my CPU is overheating, 2) my video card's drivers (or DirectX 9.0c) is faulty, or 3) the game itself is just badly programmed and Rockstar needs to release a patch. Considering how many people are having similar issues as us, it's probably that the game needs to be patched.

When you install, chose the "Play radio from DVD" option. Even though it's a backup DVD, it will still work. I assume you're using either Alcohol, or Damean tools if you're installing from an image, so you might just have to mount the image, and chose "play radio from DVD" which the game will then play the music from the image.
That will cause the game to hang on the commercials though. But it's better than nothing.
