ok so the american members are probably screwin up their faces but for us aussies and english, the Ashes means a lot.
England won the toss and elected to bowl first... looks like a bad move boys
End of day one sees the aussies on top at 2 for 364 (RR4.04)
batting card as follows
Langer - c Stewart b Jones 32
Hayden - not out 186
Ponting - b Giles 123
Martyn - not out 9
bowling figures
Cadd!ck (damn filtes):p 19 overs... no wickets for 71 runs
Hoggard - 22 overs... no wickets for 86 runs
Jones - 7 overs... 1 wicket for 32 runs
White - 16 overs... no wickets for 67 runs
Giles - 24 overs... 1 wickt for 87 runs
Butcher - 2 overs... no wickets for 12 runs
will the Hayden steam roller roll on with england losing Jones, the best of the english bowlers... who knows... maybe the balmy army can turn the tides :D:p

England may as well give up Cricket all together... they're crap, and they KNOW it. I can't see them winning any major tournaments in the near future!

maybe the english should bring in a modern day body line series

well end of day 2... and finally looks like england are strutten their stuff. an early collapse in the aussie batting line up saw england gain the upper hand.
Australia all out for 492, Hayden (197) and Ponting (123) doing the damage with the bat while Giles took 4 wickets for england.
Trescothick (63) and Butcher (51) have set the english for a neat score leaving England 1 for 158... McGrath the only wicket taker for australia taking 1 for 57
still think the "Poms" are gonna struggle??

Umm.. the Brisbane has a good batting pitch.
i going 2morrow to check out the Aussie bowling attack hopefully Gillespie is alright to bowl

Gillespie was a bit sluggish today - well what i saw of it ... maybe Mcgrath and Warney might have to cover em all

aussies are back on top IMO at the end of day 3 but who knows whats gonna happen now
Though england coulda had a chance with wot the scores were at end of day2.......But looking at it now AUSSIES will probably win again :(

whats happened to the english crisket team in the last few years... Australia has only got better by a little, england has dropped talent wise... at 5 for 45 i think the english need a good shake up... bring back BOTHAM (evan knowing i couldnt stand him... probably cos he was a decent player)

The test matches are so boring! who would wanna watch it on tv and while watching it at the game you cant see the ball. I agree England does suck!

i agree... well i would rather watch a quick one dayer than test... what?? this test match didnt evan go for a full 4 days?? making it not evan a real test match :D:p:)
