View Full Version : Added + when Enter is pressed!

Hi.
for some wierd reason, everytime i press the main enter (the big one. not the one on the right of the keyboard) a + is added to the text.
It happend once before but i formatted my hardrive and it was gone.
When i installed WinXP again, it was ok.
The problem was gone for a few months and now its back.
I thought maybe it happend beacause i installed SP2 recently but when i removed SP2 it didnt go away.
In my previous installation of WinXP it didnt install SP2 and it still happend so i dont think it has anything to do with SP2.
I dont know if its somekind of a wierd bind error but i couldnt find out how to get read of it.
It really pisses me off and i have to press the little enter everytime.... :redmad:

Any ideas?

Try MS Antispyware.
It found stuff on my system that all the others had missed and has kept it clean since.

This sounds like some kind or virus to me, I've had similar problems in the past for example where the 'E' key types 'Z' instead.

I know this may sound stupid but when you press the "+" key (either of them), does that act as the return key?

The only thing I can suggest (untill I investiage this further) is you do a virus scan.

I did scan my computer. nothing is found.
it happend to me in my prevous installment of WinXP so maybe its some problem with my Windows?

I also forgot to mention that the enter key still functions as a enter key but it just adds +.
if i type in google "XXXXX" and press enter its like i searched "XXXXX+".
