all the videos I have played in windows media player, real player, power DVD, QuickTime ect. are cut off so only the upper left angle is showing.
I have downloaded same other clips from the intarnet and the same problem ocures.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Remove Windows and install Linux :)
Ok, so that's drastic but it's a good start!
Grab a copy of VLC from www.videolan.org and see if that renders correctly. This has all it's own codecs and should play correctly. Not sure what would cause your problem but I'll start with the basics:
What version of Windows?
Have you updated your drivers recently?

I sometimes have a similar video playing problem, when the whole viewing area turns green and my system preformance drop dramatically, although it doesn't happen all the time, it gets irritating when you watching a DVD or something.
Have you installed any kind of Codec pack recently? If you have uninstall it!
