Hey everyone.... I'm not a techie, but I usually get around problems pretty easily, but this time, I'm stumped.... I changed the screen resolution in Street Racing Syndicate to 1280x720 but I forgot that my monitor could only display up to 1152x864... Now, when I start the game, the monitor switches to safe mode and displays frequency out of range. I tried reinstalling the game, with no success... I then tried to erase all regestry entries relating to the game. Again, nada. Usually, there is an external program in which you can change the video settings without actually botting the game, but SRS doesn't.... The game seems to always remember the resolution, so what do I do?
Thanks a bunch

Well I would have though reinstalling it should have worked, there is obviosuly some kind of configuration file which won't delete, does SRS have a save game folder in 'My Documents'?, well find its save game folder and there should be (although i'm not sure) a file called options or config or something like that. Open it with notepad and search it untill you find 'Resolution' if that doesn't work then search for the numbers 1280 or 720, when you find it change it to 1152 864. If there is no config or options file, then please forgive me because I don't have SRS and i'm only going off past experiences i've had with games.

Start dxdiag, click on the far right "more help" tab, then click on the "overide" tab and set a resolution you know your monitor can handle. This will overide any game setting resolution and allow you to get back into the game to where you can change the games resolution. Good luck.
PS: Don't forget to remove that overide when your done.
