Ok so i just bought the game from compusa ($20 off instant rebate =D)
and i'm wondering, how can i make a 1:1 Copy of this game?
What programs will i need? And by 1:1 i mean like, a copy where i don't need a crack.
now i saw a post on one of the other forums, but it doesn't seem to work.
i have 2 DVD-rom drives (ones a burner the other is a reader).
Any help\tutorials would be appreciated..
Again, i'm looking on how to make a 1:1 copy, not a crack..
until then, i'll use my originals and be... very... very careful
Thanks in advance

You should get a reliable burning program, such as Alcohol 120%. Makes perfect 1:1 copies... But it wont work with Chaos Theory.

Splinter Cell - Chaos Theory uses Starforce Protection ! There is no Programm so far that is able to make a working backup ! And there is no Crack available as well so far.

I´m pretty sure there will be a Crack for it soon ,but i dont think there will be a Programm out in future that is able to make a 1:1 Copy.

Hi!
I have downloaded a scct in .mds file. Opened in D-tools and dvd-copy with Nero Burning Rom. So I have it on DVD. My question is. Will I ever play with it or not? Because it doesn't work. Always say that the cd isn't a valid DVD, or the serial is wrong.... etc. The system update from d2d system.rar wasn't good because i'm from Hungary and the serial isn't good too.
Please write me! What I must do to play with this game?
Thanks!!!

OK, now again, the ultimative guide to playin' SC3 with a backup disc... :blacrazz
1. Open up Alcohol 1.9.5 Bld 20828 (thats what I used; may work with higher versions, too)
2. Read out the original disc with DPM enabled
3. Burn the read out image *with* RPMS enabled
4. Now, get a IDE-USB adapter. They are cheaper than external housings but work the same.
5. Detach all optical IDE-drives from your mainboard. Starforce nightmare may also work , but I didn't use it. Now attach the adapter to your DVD drive.
6. Fire up Alcohol again and select RMPS emulation in the Emulation dialog.
7. Now insert the backup disc and play the game as if it was your original disc, which now can stay in a safe place
It may be useful to rename the device drivers installed by Alcohol, as I did, but it may also work with the original names.
If you set up all correct but you still get the 'needs emulation' drive caption in explorer, re-insert your DVD. It should work then.
This method works perfectly for me.
If you do not have the RMPS information because your drive can't read them, replace the scct.mds file of your image with the one that comes with the Miniiamage from GCW.
There is a way to play to the game with a backup copy without use an external drive or disable ide devices !
This method was confirmed by some people :
"1: Created a Image with Alcohol 120% (lastest version). I read the RMPS at the lowest settings (Precision High), same for the data. Read at the lowest settings to prevent errors.
2: Now this is the wierd part. Burn the image at the lowest settings and DO NOT burn the RMPS data to the disk. I burned it to DVDR.
It took along time to get past the protection screen(even froze my pc for a few seconds) but it did load. I tested it with 1.0 and 1.01, both load."
To be sure to have a corect mds file, you can download this file :

But why then do you read out the RMPS when you do not burn them to the backup disc?

RMPS that is an option in Alcohol 120% acording to the info you must turn it off in alcohol .with lowest settings he mean probably lowest speed burn at 1x if youre dvd burner support that.

no you have to burn it with the above settings. he told us:
Burn the image at the lowest settings and DO NOT burn the RMPS data to the disk.(turn RMPS off in alcohol) I burned it to DVDR.
if youre burner have burned it correctly it will not aks for an serial .

Burn the image using the above method with Alcohol 120% .and no you don't have to have the original disc however it would be illigal so i suggest to just buy it .)but with the above method you there is NO need for USB , NO need for serial No need for star++++ just burn the Alcohol image on +R or +RW +RW even better .if it work it works if it not works try the backup on every dvdrom u have one dvd rom it might works while the other dvd rom it might not work this is an tricky method .but works for some people .No MINI image needed .

I am not formiliar with Alcohol 120%, can anyone tell me how to:
1. Create an image, how to read teh RMPS at the lowest settings (Precision High) and how to do this for the data aswell?
2. How do I burn the image at the lowest settings and how do I enable NOT burning the RMPS data to the disk?
So basicly, just tell me step by step what to do in Alcohol 120% and in Nero :P You would REALLY be a big help! Thanks in advance, but more thanks when you'll help me :D

Hey,
I know alot of people are still waiting for a crack for this game including me and I've been checking out some torrent-sites for a long time and I've found something interesting! On TorrentSpy right HERE (http://www.torrentspy.com/search.asp?mode=torrentdetails&id=239733) I found this weird looking name called: "Splinter Cell Chaos Theory Patch" and there is this file in there called "1450-sp-patch". It is a rar file which includes an udmlib.dll file of 16,994kb and a SPLINTERCELL3.exe file of 6,603kb! I tried downloading it but it said it was offline but tried connecting several times, after a while I noticed it was suddenly downloaded. I can't try this file right now since the game is on another pc at another house (divorced parents) but I will check it out tomorrow and let you know if it works around 12:00cet and 13:00cet...
- deaf
PS: No it's not a virus, atleast I think cause I scanned both files with Norton 2005 and the results came out well.
When I tried running the exe file it said something like: "Couldn't find file ?????.dll" so maybe it tried to overwrite or edit a file that should be in the Splinter Cell 3 map, which would mean it IS a no-cd/dvd crack/patch. Let's hope so, see you tomorrow!

Its not a crack it was released by the company starforce (for people having problems with their dvd rom reading the CD) and it should work FINE if you have a legal copy / serial number and it is a no - CD patch but you need a legal serial number -
so anyone with a real copy this will work if not submit a report to starforce and they will work it out with you might take a few weeks for a response.
although i don't and never will support starforce one bit. I don't think this game is worth my money after what it did to my PC! If i were you i would return it to the store if you can.
and dont be expecting a real no-starforce crack anytime soon. From the looks of it , it will be another 2 or 3 months.
If you can't wait that long buy it or return it (what ever way your having problems).
