Recently I upgraded my mother board to and ASUS A8V Deluxe, everything seem to be alright when I was setting up the BIOS. The MoBo recognized the CPU, RAM, CD-ROM drives, and my HD for a while. However when I set it to boot from the HD then I restarted the computer it would start scanning for the HD but would say that the BIOS was not loaded. So I when back again and looked at the BIOS setup to make sure that it would boot from the HD. But it still said that the BIOS was missing. Now it can even detect the HD like it's not there. I recheck all my connections and everything is on tight. I need my home pc I got homework due soon!!. Can you please give me and idea on what I could be doing wrong.

MoBo: Asus A8V Deluxe (http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/socket939/a8v-d/overview.htm)
HD: Hitachi Deskstar 7K250 (http://www.hitachigst.com/portal/site/en/?epi_menuItemID=fdd9dbceef73222d92b86b31bac4f0a0&epi_menuID=b5bc67ba7b48099056fb11f0aac4f0a0&epi_baseMenuID=3d0cb215112b6934ab937c27aac4f0a0)
Any help would be greatly appriciated...

if you are using SATA you need to make sure that is set as your first boot device, and not IDE

It's not that i've looked up his HD and its IDE, the only thing I can't think of is the HD is faulty, you should try it on another PC just to make sure.

Back when I was a n00b I tryed pluging a SCSI disk into a IDE controller... Make sure you arent missing out on something obvious like I was.
