I recenyly bought the deluxe edition of the game ( Generals + Zero Hour ), when I finished installing it. It asked me for the correct CD. I heard this problem can be solved with the No Cd crack, so I tried it and it worked.
The problem now is when I play the ground in-game keeps going black while everything else (vehicles, soldiers, buildings) stay normal

Well if you got a bad CD key your best bet is to call the companies Tech support or look at their web site. However i'm gonna assume that you did actually buy this game and didn't just come up with a way to trick us into helping you with a illegally downloaded game. You might have to reinstall the game and try a different CD patch. If I remember right, find your save game files and move them to a different location, then erase it, reinstall it, get a different CD patch, and try that. If it works then copy your saved games back to where you got them from and load it up.

I didn't have a chance to play anything so there arent any saved games. I dont think the problem is with the CD Key cuz its the key with the cd's I bought ...

no problem, actually where did you buy it from? A lot of places will exchange open software for the same title. You could just return it

hey guys..
I have the same problem..
I could run the CDs and open the game, but the game runs too slow then. But I'm quite sure that the problem is because of the V-RAM.. I guess that It's under the limit. But I didn't upgrade it yet..
So.. what do you think guys? I think that the V- RAM thing is very reasonable to get the game works good or slow.
SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH

well i have a solution for you mate you have to add a command line to the games shortcut on your desktop, To do so, right-click on the “Command & Conquer” icon on your Windows Desktop, choose “Properties”, and add –noshaders to the end of the path in the “Target” field. If you installed the game to the default directory, the command line should like this: "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals\generals.exe” -noshaders ((HOPE IT WORKS))

There are a few ways to find out what your gfx card is. Here's the simplest way.
1. Click on the start menu.
2. Click on 'run'.
3. Type in 'dxdiag' (without quotation marks).
4. Click on the 'Display' tab.
It should tell you the make of your gfx card in the 'Name' box. Tell me exsactally what it says and i'll point you in the right direction of drivers.
Another thing have you tried patching the game yet?

Well thats why your game is running slow, your graphics card is not very good. Go here (http://support.octek.com.au/Downloads/htm/Download_021.htm) for the latest drivers.
I also suggest patching the game go here (http://www.download-courier.com/download.php?file=generalszh-103-english.exe) for the patch.
Your doing all this at your own risk, I won't be held responsibe if anything goes wrong.

Wut can the driver or the patch do?

The driver will (possibly) fix the ground glitch, and same goes for the patch. I think the patch is more likely to fix it, and if that doesn't work try the drivers. Another way of getting the patch more easily is to launch ZH and go on multiplayer if your game isn't the latest version then it will automatically update.

It's always recommended to get latest game patch and have latest graphic drivers installed.
Due to bugs, improvements etc.
