I'm new to the whole emulation scene, so forgive me if I seem ignorant (it would be because at this point, I am). :P

I was wondering-- is there any way at all that two people could sit down at my computer and start playing a multiplayer ROM game?

I have a lot of games I want to play multiplayer, and I have two controllers to use. I have 2 USB ports in the front of my computer, so I figure I can plug both controllers in, and there must be some way to play multiplayer on one comp.

How do you play .v64 files?

I can play .z64 files with pj64k, an N64 emulator I'm sure you all are familiar with. I have a lot of .v64 files that won't open at all.

How do you use the program 1964?

No matter what ROM I use, it's somehow completely screwed up when I use 1964. Conker's Bad Fur Day, the graphics are so distorted that it's absolutely unplayable. The same goes for Banjo Tooie. Am I missing a plug in, or a patch, or something??

Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)

yes you can play multiplayer games, as long as you set up your gamepads accordingly. You can even play over the internet with some emulators (at least with zSNES you can).

Project64 opens both z64 and v64 files, I just did it. (version 1.5 with service pack1)

I don't know about 1964, but probably need to configure appropriate plug-ins which can be quite annoying until you get it just right for your setup.
