Nero problem

Whenever I try to burn a cd or dvd using Nero, I get this error message :

Error Creating Iso/Joliet Names

What could be the problem?

I am using WinXP Pro SP2, Nero Burning Rom 6.6.0.8a

BTW The cd's were written properly with Windows Burning Software

Have you tried reinstalling Nero? The only thing I can suggest is that, the Names in the Volume label are too long, to check this, start up Nero normally, click on the Label tab and see what the Volume Labels are, by default they should both say 'NEW'.

Lokesh, has nero worked before?

maybe its the fact you are on a 64bit machine/OS
and nero (maybe just the version you have) only supports 32bit?

or maybe the burner is still not supported by nero. maybe its too new and need to wait for an update

Is your version of Nero the latest one? If not try and update it.

Nero was running properly before. I am using WindowsXP Pro Sp2 even though I have a 64-bit processor(Amd Athlon 64 3200+)

Both my cd-rw and dvd-rw drives are supported by nero!

I am using the latest version of Nero Burning Rom ie 6.6.0.8a

I have even tried using the default Iso/joliet name .ie. NEW but nothing seems to work!

try rolling back to previous version of nero if possible, maybe there is some glitch in this version, compatability issues

Try a recent restore point.

The old version works fine! Thanks for the ideas! There's a bug in 6.6.0.8a
