Okay I recently got my sticky fingers on a copy of MGS- Snake Eater. It seems using Alcohol 120% it rips to the HDD okay but burning the image back hicupped 3 times & turned my DVD into a coaster :asmd: I tried re-ripping & re-burning, no-go amigo .... every time it crashed at 13% ! So I tried simulated, well that got passed 13% & burned the entire image ! ! But when I tested it in my PS2 I insantly heard the laser struggling to read it :sword: . If anyone knows anything about this problem & how to rectify it please post it here for all to read & support MG forums ! if it wasnt for these forums there would be alot more people in the dark about backing up their console games ! Knowlege is everything, help others to help you ! ! CrAnK

Hey crank i was rading what you put on the backing up of gt4 on you having problems backing up mg3......i have a copy and i did not have a problem making a backup for it.....maybe this would help you i used nero 6 and used verbatim dvd-r....i always use dvd-r's for games even though some may argue that - and + are the same but i heard with - its more efficent.....so if you use nero 6 and a dvd-r then it will work and i am 100% on it hopes this helps you brotha

to answer both of ya'll questions yes it is very possible...i used nero 6 and i go to nero express and do a simple copy of dvd which would be called (Copy entire disc) do it on lowest speed which would be 2x........it isnt a dvd-9 becuz i did it without a dual layer if thats what you are saying........i havent done it on a dvd+r i have done it on a dvd-r which i do with every other game........hopefulyl this helps u out man......

Please try & kep this thread as MGS 3 thread ! There are other threads relating to GT4. Its just gets confusing for others when your on a thread thats starts off on one topic and then jumps to another ! GT4 is on DVD9 - format. If you want to know more check out GT4 threads. Sorry to sound like a ++++head but this is a MGS3 thread.

Conclusion:
So I can back-up a PAL MGS3 SE no worries then??? Since that is what I am going to do soon. Any programme suggestions (what programme should I use for this job?) for this game are more than welcome. Programme names etc.
