everytime i run HDDTEMP it says that Windows XP has had a problem which the system cannot recover from, although i uninstalled HDDTEMP now, i still want to know why

install the program again. boot into safe mode and see if u can uninstall it from there.

what hddtemp used for ? to erase the tmp. files?

Try using System Restore and restore it to a date before you installed Hddtemp.

i would not recommend that. but it is one way of doing it. go to the site where u got the program from and see if they can help. sys restore would be a last resort to me

nah, i will just forget about it
