you dont have to keep mounting it just set up more than 1 virtual drive on daemon tools i have 2 drives set up got the mini image on 1 and use the other for other files

can i just warn people - and this is not a dig at 2 PAC okay - 2 PAC emailed me the patch. i downloaded the file after my email had informed me that there was no virus threat, however when i scanned the unopened RAR file with my own anti - virus software it detected a trojan. I didnt risk trying to clean the file so i deleted it.

If you really didn't know about the infected file, then I still have to thank you 2PAC, for sending the file, a lot of guys promise to help ya with stuff on the internet and then doesn't do anything.. Too bad it ended like this though.

Anyways, a litte sidenote: when I scanned the file with NortonAV2004, it didn't label the threat as a trojan, like most you others seem to have got, but as "Hacking Tools"... scary stuff.

if the file u found is a cracked fm2005.exe, i feel it is for earlier version and not 5.0.3 or 5.0.5

If the crack fm2005.exe for the 5.0.3/5.0.5 patch is ever released, it will be 10mb approx compressed into a zip file even.

the fact that mini image method has been used almost everywhere, the usual place where we are supposed to find crack exe has the mini image instead
so it is becoming more obvious the safedisc 4 protection used by the new patch is gonna be difficult to crack.
I am beginning to feel that if the crack were to see the light of day, the day would come after quite a long period. I hope not.

ok. i saw frankie had written about this so i gave it a shot. i downloaded patch 5.0.5 and installed it. then i re-downloaded the no-cd for version 5.0.2. and replaced the exe file. it worked! still says its version 5.0.2 but in a new game all the updates have worked. give it a shot and enjoy!

For those of you using the 5.0.2 no cd file over a 5.0.3+ version of the game:
This will not run implement all the fixes and updates.
Yes it will do the transfers and other player data as this has been changed is the server_db people_db files.
The actual game fixes (of bugs) is mostly coded into the .exe file. Hence the reason why each update needs a new exe.

guys, if you read the posts you will see that the patch that 2pac downloaded and passed on had a virus.

the noCD crack that others, including me, are using for the 5.0.5 patch is the noCD crack for the 5.0.2 crack that you will get at Games copy world.

Did you tried to open it from image? I think people that say their "mini-image" doesnt work have this problem that they open the mounted image and try to open game from there. :rolleyes:

I ahve searched over 1000 sits through google looking for this crack,and also on "other means",which shall remain nameless,but you guys know what i mean.

And i have found nothing.

Somone told me that in fact there was a NO-Cd Crack for this game,but there is'nt.

For an example I cant play it since im using Linux instead of ++++doze.
And there seems to be problems cause the mds (is a local mountformat
for Alcohol-typos).. so, there's quite much need of a crack.

Well, actually I can't - I tryed just to mount the mini image, but when I try to start the game I get the error "Insert correct CD..." and so on.. =(

I installed FM, patched it to v5.0.5 and then mounted the mini-image with daemon tools 3.47

But when I try to run it only appears a very small white square in the middle of the screen. After I waited the message "An error ocurred with fm2005.exe..." appeared.

Any suggestions please?

I just downloaded the 5.0.5 patch and was gutted when it came up with "please insert the cd"!!!! But I don't really understand that mini image thing..... I have downloaded the image and DAEMON version 3.47, so could somebody please post some simple step by step instructions to "mount the cd image"? and then play the game????

Guys just mount the file...

You do this by right clicking on daemon tool then you go to virtual cd...then you set number of devices to 1... then you go back there and choose mount image... choose the mini file and you can now open the game through the .exe file... remember you have to unzip it first and move the mini files to the FM 2005 Folder.

I already patched FM2005 to version 5.0.5 and downloaded FM2005 image. Then I already mounted FM2005 image in Alcohol 1.92.705 version. When I tried to play it, I got the error which said 'Please select the correct CD-ROM, select ok and restart the application'. How to solve that?

Okay I tried everything. But I can't get FM2005 to run.

I have Deamon Tools 3.47.
I mounted the mini-image.

But here it comes, when I try to run the game, I get the following error:
"Please login with administrator privileges and try again football manager."

But I am administrator and this is the only account on my pc.

copy all your save games to a seperate folder then totally uninstall fm and even the registry files and then do a total full install and transfer thefiles back to where they should be

no IF YOU`re using the mini image file mounted on daemon tools cos it sounds like you are then you need daemon tools installed all the time and the image file mounted all the time or fm wont work

I used the files you attached here for that mini image for DAEMON- it worked...
but it worked for my basic 5.0 version. I don't know how to install the 5.05 patch, because when I try to install it I get a message :
Unable to read current FM2005 installation folder.
Error 0x00000002 - The system cannot find the file specified

And I understood from SI Forums that you can't install it unless you have the original! How did you manage to install it, if there is no crack available...?

Im new, i joined the forums to get this - I've got my version workin now, i havent played fm05 for fookin yonks so i thought i'd install it and give it a shot!

right, download --> http://dl.gamecopyworld.com/dl_awpost.php?d=2005&f=FM2005_MI!rar&u=m0156.gamecopyworld.com

the above link is the football manager 2005 .mds file you need to mount to a virtual drive.

Mount it via Daemon tools (links above in one of the above "quotes")

install the application --> run the app --> right-click the red thunder icon (botton right of screen - your quick launch icons)
--> click virtual drive, set number of devices to 1-2
Then do the same again --> right-click the red thunder icon --> click mount, at this time extract the football manager files from the zip --> browse to them and mount the .mds file to the virtual drive

complete, run your game normally - your game will now run.

Let me warn you people about the 5.0.5 Crack that is being posted on the p2p networks. It is actually the 5.0.2 crack and has a trojan virus in the actual RAR file. The actual RAR file has invalid headers so there is the first sign of trouble.

I save my game every day but sometimes when it saves it throws me to windows
When i go to load the game it says:"Couldn't load the game"

Hi there, I've got the same problem as pajdo.

I mount the mini image but when I start the game I get the message "cd/dvd emulation software has been detected. Please disable all cd/dvd emulation software and re-start the game."

Has anyone got a way around this problem please??

right. if you mount the 'FM2005.MDS' file then click on the football manager 2005.exe there should be no problem.

I got a problem here.
Patched to 5.05, able to start game after all the steps, mounting, emulation options all on. Excited to see program running, started a new game. HOWEVER, after the manager shortlist part, the status of the startup disappears, and it just hangs, with cursor now as a soccer ball. Please help.

i get the same prob, install 5.0.3 then 5.0.5, Daemon is set up correct but try play the game and it just hangs when it loads a save game or at the start of a new game after the data has loaded.

i get no probs from using Daemon with 5.0.2

any help would be gratefull
