sorry m8, i got a games magazine with a dvd that was with it, has an hour and a half of video footage for forthcoming games for cube,ps2 and xbox .. if i find a site that has footage of zelda on it ill let u know ok.

i am disapointed in tendo this game looked so cool last year y did they go and ruin it!!! i want a game thats cutting edge not some cell shaded $HIT!!

So if Microsoft decided to make Halo 2 cel-shaded, you wouldn't buy it?

If Zelda was released on XBox, you wouldn't buy it?

I reckon that this will be the biggest seller for ANY console next year!!

I want it now :D

1 thing m8.. Zelda is totally in 3D!! with cell shaded type textures, normal cell shading is 2d ok

And IMHO Zelda looks better for it, the expressions that Link can do (all the characters in fact) in real time is amazing .. u would have 2 be a fool not 2 like a zelda game!

Did you know that they're concerntrating mostly on Link's face!!!

I've never looked THIS forward to any game than I am this one. It's one of the main reasons I gotta Cube! :grin:

I only wish I had a US Cube so I could get it earlier. That's what's really annoying about being in the UK... :mad:

Very soon Datel is bringing out the action reply and freeloader disk!

these lets you play any version of any game on any cube ... pretty cool eh.

Look out for them in game,hmv etc very soon!!

Yeah, I know. BUT, it was scheduled for release in the UK in June!!! It's been delayed, delayed and delayed...

It may not even get released as Nintendo have refused to master the disc, which means Datel can't burn it to a GC game disc!! :mad: :mad:

Nintendo dont have the right to master the mini dvd's .. they are proprietry disks mate .. anyone can produce them ... they have been delayed cos the replay is being finalised and they wont release the freeloader till the replay is ready, which is very soon, my mate is a manager of game and has had a fax comfirming this, tis is how i know :)

this game would have ruled but tendo fu-cked it cell shaded game isnt as good as normal graphic game... doesnt look as good!

I have not seen a zelda game that had a bad review, so I trust zelda games. Graphics is not everything, it's gameplay that's really sux you in. X-box fans seems to only care about graphics. I mean, why play a game that's actually fun when you can waste hours watching rendered, uninteractive intros instead? Ask the typical Xbox owner what other video games or consoles he likes and you'll draw a blank stare.

Sigh...the console war is just one of those wars that started and everybody forgot why :) It's seems that way anyway.

As for me, I like just about any console, because it's the games that matter really.

The reason I bought a PS2 instead of a GameCube or Xbox (I'm not rich) is because of the backward compatability with PS1. I have so many PS1 games that I still love to play and I buy the new games that I like.

I've played Halo on the Xbox and honestly it's the only console FPS that I can stand (Actually I think it's one of the coolest)

GameCube I've played and loved Smash Brothers Melee. (Still want to play RE tho...)

As for Zelda, graphics don't bother me, but when Link is a little kid...

Anyway I only really enjoyed playing Z64 when Link was an adult and the world was all dark. That was cool.

I would still give it a try though.

I cant wait for this game. IMO cel-shading the game was a great idea, gives us something fresh and different from the regular style games. My copy will be on pre-order soon:)

i think the cell shading makes it look childish, and i always considered it 2 b a more mature, serious game......i'm dissapointed, i was also annoyed too hear myamotos(sp?) reason, sumfin like, "it saves on time because things are easier to draw and we can focus on other things" !!!!!!!!!! outrageous, basically he's saying they couldnt b botherd so they made it look like pokemon, the game its self is gonna have to be very good if it is 2 b a success

They didn't "make" it look like pokimon. The zelda series always looked like pokimon. :doh: :) But still they did good.

did zelda on the 64????? no it didnt, and in many eyes that was the best zelda, it set a new standard in video games, i just cannot imagine feeling amazed while playing a childs cartoon, it looks like the powerpuff girls

the cel shading makes the objects and enviroments blend together much nicer and look like an animated cartoon which isnt something to be ashamed about despite what some people think. It hasnt been cel shaded to appeal to kids, but to create something that is artistic and different, as it will be. Graphics do not define maturity.

have you seen that centipede boss in the zelda trailer? with all that fire around it? something like that wouldnt look half as good had it been done with OOT style graphics IMO

whats funny is that this graphics technology hasnt been used on such a grand scale before and this is new stuff, yet its being criticised as being a bad thing, or kinda as a step back, yet we have never seen anything quite like it.
Also what is so bad about animation (cartoons)? im old enough not to be embarresed to say i like animation. whats wrong with? eh? eh?

its just that i think its a step backwards, its going to 2d type graphics. OoT revolutionized game graphics, y cant zeda gc do the same??

I see what you mean, but the revoloution in graphics that you talk about was the in the period of transition from 2d to 3d which can never happen again, and i doubt anything like it will happen until photo realistic graphics come in. Thats why mario sunshine got a bit of critisism because people were expecting some sort of forth dimension or something.
I dont think the gamecube would have done a realistic zelda justice as it would be too taxing for the machine (taking into account the sheer scale of the areas) and would end up looking average compared to other smaller games ( or something like mario sunshine) .
Sure if you took the centipede boss thing and made it ultra realistic then wow i would prefer it but you couldnt do it on the gamecube (or xbox for that matter) and create the same cinimatic effect that the celshading has, ie it would look like rough but nice 3d models in a 3d enviroment rather than something that "just is" which i feel does better justice to something as cool as zelda.
