hey all ,

i am very new to this subject of ps2 and i have a few questions :

1. just bought a new slim ps2 (SCPH 70007cb) and i was told that it allready modded (paid extra cash for it) and i have a problem identifying the chip i got , (no boot cd and no external stuff coming out of the ps2) , can u guys help me identify the chip ?

2. my system works on NTSC J and i am able to see pal games (that i burned) with color BUT , whenever i wanna play ntsc games i got b&w screen on my TV (which is pal only) , what do i need to have to see color ntsc games ? (converter ? scart cables? what? ) i read stuff about it but i cant get it clear...

that's all , help will be greatly appriciated.

Hey,if you get a black and white screen you need to have a scart lead for ya ps2, make sure that all the pins are in the scart lead as this is the one you need,i think its called a Euro AV Scart lead, i used one i bought for my ps1, and that works fine,

it looks alot like the one in that link, just make sure it has all the pins in the scart.
