XP pro problem

Its really wierd ....i did a fresh install of XP pro and i have not typed in the cd key in yet , instead i dl'ed all the patches and critical updates for windows ,all execpt service pack 2:P , and now i cant activate/register/enter cd key ...you know when you first install windows you get a little popup that says that you have 30 days to register blabla bla, well now when ever i reboot my system it pops up BUT when i click on it , it says that ive already activated my windows ....so like what the hell do i do now?It pops up ever time i reboot and every time its the same , really weird ....

Strange, how did you installed it ?

Through "dos" it should ask after a cdkey before install.

thats the thing it didnt ask during installation for the cd key. It started asking after , when my system was running......

Remember your XP isnt legit as you previously stated in emergency :P

Is it a normal cd or upgrade cd ??

Did you reboot with the cd and installed from there ??

Its a normal XP PRo cd , i even reinstlled to chcek if i missed something dyring the installlation , but i didnt .
Yeah i did reboot with the cd in and installed , but that was on the second install , the one im using now.

Nevermind that stupid windows , just bought a new OEM , and its working fine now , thanks.
