Any way to intall dvd-rom's laser in the pS2!

Plz tell me if there is laser (i dont know what they actually call it , 'laser' or 'lens') of any dvdrom that can be compatible and installed in the ps2. As the laser of the ps2 is expensive and dvrom's being cheap and of almost the same kind used in ps2 may have a chance. So any one expert enough to guide me? :grayroll: . :eyes:

well looks like there aint lol, any way mate by the time you faf about doing that, and then theres the case it mite not work, you mite as well buy a new drive for the PS2

YEESH. wow lotsa noobs in this. well i was a noob to at one point to. ok here you go [ http://www.success-hk.com ] look under ps2/utils & tools/ look for the right ps2 models and lens and whamo! i had a friend that replaced his. and its a really good lens, better then the ps2 stock. careful you might haveta calibrate it. oh and this company is in china but its really good shop. i love it!
