Hy
I use for example Wine and Cedega to play games and to run programs in Linux.
But my oppinion is that works better with the original the native system/program for what was made with very low exceptions.
What simulators do you use?

Don't you mean emulators?

No, he doesn't.
Wine and Cedega are programs designed for linux to run win programs. I cannot answer your question, because i don't use linux that much. Try asking Aman.

I use Cedega and I love it.

It is built of of WINE, which is a program that runs Windows dll's and libs to be able to run the game in the Linux environment.

It isn't an emulator. It is simply a collection of libs and dlls that are changed to work for the Linux infrastructure.

Afterall, WINE stands for Wine Is Not an Emulator. :D

Cedega has run every game I have thrown at it very well. I have ran the following:

World of Warcraft
Warcraft 3
Sim City 4
Half Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source
Civilization 3
Solider of Fortune 2

I have tried The Sims 2 on it, and it doesn't work - but it is a supported game and should work by the next release.

There are sometimes minor problems, such as small sound bugs or cursor glitches, but the performance is great, and even better in Warcraft 3 in particular - the small shortcomings are quite worth it in the end, becuase I don't have to use that awful operating system that everybody uses ;)
