Hi to all,
i've just completed the registration process to this awesom forum.

i've installed street racing syndicate from carbon....and used star++++ but it ask for a serial key after disk check with image mounted with alcohol 120%.

Anybody has dolved this problem for run this awesom game? :blacsigh

use the alcohol virtual drive with the command mount image and then start the game

ok i know your problem.....i have the same too.....
only a question wich kind of chipset d you have Intel or AMD.
I have tried this procedure on AMD and doesn't work instead on p4 machine it works fine.
I think that it depends from the hw structure.

The Mini image is needed to play .
In the past i try to start cmr05 an trd2 with star++++ but don't work.....now with minimage i can play both fine with no errors everytime.

Hope someone can make it.

I had the same problem.
Tried very much i have to say...
But i got it runnin.

I created a "link" with Star**** 0.83.
I guess the settings should be clear, just read the *.nfo.
Had a CD-ROM in my pc, which star**** correctly did hide. At least it seemed so. Starting this shortcut turned out with the SRS-Message "please insert the disc in another cd-rom" or sth like this.
It was just a try but i physically disconnected my CD-ROM (Real one of course, not a virtual one...), power and data cable. And now it works :graywink:
So i think Star**** does not "hide" the CD-ROM-Drives correctly.

Try it and tell me if this works for you too.

yeah it works fine for me, sorta, wen you try and play story it crashes and wen i use strar++++ i have to restart and i dont like to keep doing that i tried burning it to cd using alchole 120% but it wont read the cd properly, someone needs to hack this stareforce properly with a proper crack

the way to ply it is explained above.....so i think it's clear.
But it doesn't work for everyone.
So be patient and somebody will make it......
I'm not from england too and game doesn't work ....so we have to wait fro a miniimage.

Well, if you have this nfo file, you should have a "SRS.Star++++-Carbon"-folder within your download too. This is star++++. StarForce is some kind of copy-protection and star++++ is ++++ing this protection, you know...
You don't have to find any of those ;o)

I also got the "insert to another drive"-message but i downloaded the new program from the project star++++ available at http://www.project-star++++.tk/ (Star++++ Nightmare) and it WORKED GREAT for me.

Just install the game, mount the image in a virtual drive (the virtual drive can be created with alcohol 120%), open the star++++ nightmare and press disable cd.Thats it!

I run an AMD so that´s not an issue with this new program...if it ever was! No need to open yor pc and turn of the cd drives!

Edit: in order for the link to work you have to change the ++++ with the forbidden word (F word)!

someone know hot to get from an image of a cd a minimage.
I explain myself better.....if i try to get a minimage from an image of alcohol but i think it's impossible. ( a try that i see is open the file car-srs and delete all files and save it as a bin file and try to mount....doesn't work)...

The only way can be.... extract cd content ...but the thing that i don't know is ....if i extract it to a cd (burning it)...it retain the safedisc 3.4 structure or it will be lost?

Please someone answer me fast so i post somewhere the minimage

hexedit do you have alcohol 120%? If you have it you should have a virtual drive cause it´s automatically installed when you install alcohol 120%.

After installing alcohol 120%, install the game and reboot when you´re asked for.
Once you have installed alcohol 120% you should now have a virtual drive. Open my computer click with the right mouse button on it and select "mount image", now you select the cd1 image that you should have in your hard disk. Once you´ve done this the srs icon should appear on the virtual drive. Now you open the "star++++ nightmare" and press "disable cd" (wait a little bit till it disables the cd drives). Thats it now you can play!

I think i can´t explain the procedure better than this. Read it carefully!
Anyway, if you still can´t do it don´t be afraid to ask...

I founded a way on how to play that game.Here it is : 1.Open Star++++ choose StarForce 3.4.63.2 and choose preferences.Change Method of channels patch to SuperAgressive and save settings.Load it up again choose StarForce 3.4.63.2 and choose links generator.2.Here check all boxes only last (unmount image) no and choose your mounting program.You don't need to change other settings.They are setted good.3.Click Specify EXE and choose exe from where you installed game (default C:\Program Files\Namco\Street Racing Syndicate\Bin).4.Click specify image and choose CD1 image of the game (car-srs.mds,yeah .mds you must have .mds or it will not work).5.Click create a link and save that .Ink file somewhere best on desktop.6.Load up SFNightmare and choose Disable CD.That is it ! Run from that .Ink file on the desktop.Repeat step 6 whenever you want to play SRS.NOTE:Star++++ you must have somewhere in normal directory (no in temp) from where you don't delete it or you will then must create another .Ink file.Another NOTE :You must have car-srs.mds in that folder where you have car-srs.mdf.Files you need are here

I am getting problems too. I try like you say in the last post and it appears a miage LOADING STAR ++++ING but after that appears again the error to say that I have to put a disc game in the drive. :angryfire :(

e experimentei usar o starforce cleaner akilo pediu pra reniciar o pc. dps de reniciado entrei no jogo e diz k a aplicacao foi instalada com sucesso e perguntou se keria reniciar e pus "yes" e depois tentei entrar no jogo deu erro a dizer k tinha de colocar o jogo na drive. Ke faco????????

We are using the same version of Star++++ the same version of Deamon Tools and Alcohol and these are the latest versions. I can't understand it why I can't launch it I'm doing the same as he does. yeah it will be a good idea...but i think it isn't so simple to contact nocd makers......
I'm becoming crazy to make a minimage....but it doesn't work......

I have also xp sp2 on an AMD but game doesn't run.
If i installed SRS on my notebook P3 500 and it works (also if then crash because system requirement aren't satisfied p3 1Ghz)

So this mess ,for my opinion is dued to some hw mess with via chipset.
i have trd2 and crm05 and the only way for me to play it is only minimage.

In this afternoon i get a new comp Pentium 4 3.6GHz with 1gb of ram....i try and let you know.

1) you keep open sturf.u.c.k. and then you launch sfnightmare?
Or you save prefs and maintain strarf.u.c.k. closed and then launch sfnightmare?.

2) when you use star++++ you make click patch blacklist.....or set only prefs?

Well i try all this staff you gais post and i pass the CD check, the game start with some Credits then the NAMCO notice APEAR on the screen, some funny music start and then the game window close by it self, i am runing WINDOWSXP SP2 if any one solve that kind of problem let me know please

I have try with star++++ but it doesn't work, so I opened my pc and I disconnected all my dvd roms. I restarted my pc and the game currently works very fine!

1. Install the game mounting the image with alcohol;
2. shut down the pc
3. disconnect the 4 pin cable of the drives (except the hard disk ^^ )
4. uninstall all the cd/dvd emulations
5. play the game!

The game will check the cds and it will works... ;)

You say uninstall all Virtual CD emulators and than than disconekt all CD drives and when i did this it says PUT THE CD IN YOUR CD-ROM.
I cant imagine how u run the game that way but what you have writen at your post is bullSH...

it must be another way to disconect dvd roms

right click in your mouse in My Computer and go to hardware and then go to Gestor Dispositivos (I am portuguese so I don't know how it's in english but it's the first option). then it appears a window so go to devices and choise your DVD, right click on mouse and put desactivate. I hope that helps.
CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO PUT GTR IN 1024x768 ?????? I PUT IN 3D CONFIG BUT tHE GAME RUNS IN 600 (in minimum).

Sorry, i've forgot to say that u will disable any OTHER emulation software, obviously except alcohol... If u don't think this i s true ur not forced to do so, make it works urself!

Now i found another way to make it works: I downloaded Star++++ v.0.83 beta, I made the same things that the .nfo says but I patched the blacklist for all of starforce and securom (securom 5.0X.XX , StarForce 3.4.49.X and StarForce 3.4.63.2 ). Once u patch all the protections, it may works (i'm not sure 100% but I and some of my friends play good in this way). ;)

Ehhhhh my friend launched it on AMD processor so it isn't the fault of which processor do you have secondly he launched it this way:
-Started Starf++++ 0.83 beta set the superagressive then saved
-Marked the last starforce 3.4.63.2 and clicked patch blacklist
-clicked then on disable cd roms
-mounted cd1 of SRS with deamon tools 3,47 without any protection emulation ON
-installed the game and launched it and then i was amazed that it worked

I did the same on my computer and it didn't work. Why? I don't have an idea:(

So if anybody from the cracking group such as Ultima or other reads this forum please make the working crack for this game quickly i beg you !

And the last thing disablind cd roms physically or by star++++ nightmare or single star ++++ it doesn't matter because the final effect is the same.

I don't have any links for star++++ 0.83 beta... Search it in google!

I only use this version of star++++, patch all the blacklists, set the method to superaggressive, disable all the cd-roms (with the option of star++++), disable all the emulation software EXCEPT alcohol120%, start the game and play!! I have always no problem! ;)

When I real disconnected the cable of the cd/dvd roms it worked... The same with SRS, but it isn't necessary with the method i wrote some replies before ;)

Ehh I don't know what version of Toca 2 do you have Prescott but i have version with mini image and i disconneceted cd roms by starforce nightmare or how it is called anyway it worked so if SRS has the same version of starforce it doesn't matter if we disconnect cdroms physically or bya a program.But i'm not sure if the starforce in Toca 2 is the same as in SRS.

I have still the same question for the cd-key.
I had the dl imagaes from [pctorrent].
I have copied all files from them into cd's. (thats making problem ?? )
I make the image from this burned cd''s with DPM. ( starforce1/2/3 secure )
thats what i doing.

1.Discconect the cd by Starfoucker.
2.Mounting image thats what i made by Alcohol 120%
3.Installing game.
4.Trying start but i have question about the cd key and i dont know what to do.

Please help me somebody.
I was using the Starforce Nightmare and i click the "Disable CD".
But the resul was same as using the starfoucker.

Ok listen up...i think that this way must be ok for everyon such us me that cannot play at all sf games with sf and sfnightmare.

I try this procedure step-by-step also uninstalling game and retry it and it works (for me at 100%).

First of all i get from emule car-srs.mds,
Star++++ 0.83 and the update star++++nightmare ver 1.11.

Then uninstall alcohol and reboot (to remove it completely) and reinstall it using the same directory showed in the settings of star++++.
C:\program files\.......

Reboot and execute it so it recreate virtual drive.

Then install the game as usual and reboot again after the first try of play it.

After that lauch sf0.83 settings as usual secondary channel-superaggressive-(your language).....and save.

Relaunch sf0.83 click patch blacklist for ever of 3 profile starting from securom....then sf.....and the last sf profile....(wait message that all is ok for every profile)......

Leave open sf0.83 and launch the new sfnightmare and click only disable cd........wait the process is completed.

Leave the 2 program running without close them
mount the srs-car.mds (must be in the same directory where are placed image of the 2 cds mdf) into virtual drive of alcohol (not in daemon)
and launch the icon of the game and this time it works.

I try this procedure also uninstalling the game ,remaking my machine and install sf and sfnightmare and it works perfectly......so no errors.

Let me know.
In this game for me the game run very fust....the only thing that i've deactivated is the motion blur......

1. Why the f**** i have to reinstall Alchol if I'm using Deamon Tools and you may say so you have to reinstall D-Tools but have you seen that in SF you can write a patch to Alcohol and Deamon Tools executables?
2. Where do I get that mini image that you are talking about? Can you give us a link ? Because that mini image which can be downloaded from this forum is a piece of junk it doesn't even want to be mounted in alcohol.
3. Why do we have to patch all the securities if this game is protected only with starforce? Can you explain this?

3. Why do we have to patch all the securities if this game is protected only with starforce? Can you explain this?

1) it's simple......in my windows xp from italy alcohol install in a directory different c:\programmi\alcol...... and also if you change it into sf it doesn't work...so thiis can be a solution....

Only a question....i haven't say to uninstall daemon tools....i have said that you don't have to mount into virtual cd of daemon.....(please read carefully...i havent so much time to spend to answer to people that don't read).
Daemon and alcohol can stay on the same machine.

2) i say that you continue to don't read carefully....if i have a minimage ....do you thing that i try a million of procedure such as this? NO!
mds is and extension such as cue for iso image...but in a forum i read that is useful during mounting.....then i wrote i take it from edonkey.......ITS CLEAR?

I had images and copied files in images into cd's.
So still i can play srs or i must donwload again the cd1 image ?

Yeah you have to redownload the images to play it because also if you make an image of your existing cds ....you've loosed the starforce structure....so redownload both because i cannot say you certainly if in this manner works.

So your is the choice.

Here is the deal ya all: you MUST install the game from the images you took from what-ever file-sharing program! If you burned these images on CDROM, making images again from these to load in Alcohol or Daemon so you can play the game WON'T work!!!

Alternatively, you can use Alcohol 120 to make an mds image of you ORIGINAL SRS CD1 using the Starforce specific settings in Alcohol's Image Making Wizard!

Also, if you haven't got at least SP1 on your Windows XP (my case) , disabling CD-ROMS in Star**** or SFNightmare won't work as the game will still ask you to put the cd into another drive...

If for "save game" you mean save on cd....the only way is save it on a dvd because the images are about 840Mb for the first disk (i don't remember good).
I make so and i have saved my game and trashed the 2 cd with the images burned that i created before.
Naturally you've to maintain the image of the first disk on hd or you cannot play.

ps.yeah i know i cant start the game with burned cd.
I burned game on DVD and images into directory.
So game and 2cd's images takes me 2.3 gb.
For dvd its not to big.

if you tryed to run game mounted with alcohol120 and StarF.uck and it didn't worked. check your cd-roms it must be connected on one cable and hdds must be connected on other cable. if you connected your hdd and cd-rom on one cable starf.uck wouldn't disable your cd-roms.

I've got two HDD's and two writers each of them is connected with HD on one cable so should I connect DVD writer with CD writer and HD's together ? And I don't know why should I do this this way if when I'm disabling cd's in Star++++ it disables them.

Here's what I did to get it working:

Since I have SATA Hard Drives and the only thing IDE that I have are my cd/dvd drives, I decided to give this one a shot with starforce nightmare. I disabled my ATA controller with it and then attached the game cd1 image to the Alcohol 120% and started up the game. much to my supprize, not a flaw. seemless entry, seemless gameplay, and excellent graphics. This might be the reason why some people aren't able to accomplish it is because their ATA controller is reading back information saying stuff is still connected or something. All I know is that my SATA controller and ATA controller are seperate but still built in to my board. if anyone else can do what I did, please let me know if it works for you as well because I'm probably not going to post on here again until I get pretty far in SRS...lol. peace out. :tease: :blacgrin

P.S.: I DID NOT DISCONNECT MY CD DRIVES AT ALL, I simply used Starforce Nightmare 1.1 (latest), clicked on Disable ATA and started the game.

if star++++ said it had disabled cd-roms and street racing syndicate say put cd in to another drive star++++ didn't hide your cd-roms. (if you selected cd-roms on both channels in star++++ and SRS works so have fun, on my PC star++++ hided cd-roms only when i connected them on one channel)

I know that it's offtopic....it's only a little help for you....

Before format everything open the case and see if all the fan are working...or are blocked (if cpu reaches to high temperature some motherboards blocks system...)then you can try to update virus definition of your AV software and try to make a full system scan (about 30minutes-1 hours of time),try to use also some removel tools such as ADaware-or spybot.
Use also Tuneup utilities 2004 for correct windows problems...this tool make all in automatic.

Then try to run the game.It will works.

i think that the previous method of mine works only on AMD for sure.....because when i get my new comp P4 HT it doesn't work......so i've find a new one...more easy.... luckly.

So i explain you it.

Then i don't use stur++++ but only sfnightmare 1.11 .
And here the surprise...if i get disable cd it doesn't work.....if you click disable secondary primary and slave it doesn't work......so i use disable Secondary Channel...and it works.

So the better way to disable cd roms without unplug cables/configuration mess/methods/ is only click on SFnightmare the disable secondary channel and naturally cdroms/dvdroms/dvd writer/ must be on the same secondary channel and not where are hds or system hang up giving dump memory error.
Naturally sfnightmare works only on xp-2003.

Games works good but if i try it on AMD it doesn't work so you have to use the old method.

It's all for now ....

now i'm testing the new Windows Media center Edition if there are problems with sf or some incompatibilities.

Seeing this you 've to consider that 2 pc with the same cpu amd can be very different.....it's simple that to you works and to me and Hexedit for example doesn't....
But my old method is tested on 15 Pc where game doesn't work in the way explained for p4.....so if you say that's the same thing....try to explain this....

I can assure you that i'm not a newbie for game protection....so i know what i'm saying.....

which version of direct x do you have?
I use 9.0c and game works fine.

the last solution is to update drivers of the graphic card if you haven't made it....then i f it dpen't work you've to replace card.

I HAVE MAKE IT AND I HAVE WIN XP PRO SP2 !!!!!!!!!!!!! I mkae a different proccess than you guys. Here how I put it work:
Street Racing Syndicate

Install by mounting the discs with Alcohol 120% latest version
You will then be required to reboot as per normal with SF3 games

After reboot take out the image from cd1 alcohol (let the virtual drive empty)
Load up Star++++ 0.83 (included)
Select Starforce 3.4.63.2 and click blacklist patch
Click Preferences (bottom right) and change language to you language

Change Method of Channels patch to SuperAggressive and save prefs

To all those looking to work Street racing Syndicate with star****,here's how.All you need is either daemon,or any other virtual rom software,I used Daemon,so I don't know if the others work.Mount the mds file on cd 1,open the star**** program(yellow wheel icon in the star*** folder) click on 3.4.49X,choose disable rom. ,click the 3.4.49X and click preferences,choose"I don"t have any c.d.roms,with SUPER AGGRESIVE,save preferences,and your on your way.Note,it will make windows not see the rom,and after you could go back and put it back to secondary device,and sometimes you have to reboot to get windows to see the cd rom again,but it worked for me,hope it works for you guys,it's a pimp game.Let me know if this was helpful to anyone,peace.

to play this game make sure that you have the most recent video and sound drivers
and that you you have a good video codec pack i used the nimo codec pack and the game works super

After reading allot, and i do mean allot of forms about this game (SRS), i ended up downloading a second pair of files. after reading allot of forum i cam across this last one who suggested the nico pack. since i had it installed i did not make it an issue of my interest. to make it short i had the game installed and even made it work but after the namco logo it went back into windows. here is what i did to make it work:
first i reinstalled the nimo code pack! (very importeant)
i mounted the cd files with an emulator(alcohol 120%)
then after installing the game i restarted my pc
then i shut down my pc and took the power cable from my cd/rom drive so i now have no 'real' cdrom drive
then booted again now with the image still mounted i ran the program and vuala it works i can almost assure u it would happen to u too!
i played the game so i know it helped me maybe it can also help you guys still looking for help

i like alot of ppl havnt been able to get this game to work until i tried this.......

uninstalled my klite codec pack and replaced it with the nimo codec pack then used starorce nightmare 1.12 to disable the cd rom drives and to my surprise it works for me

Hello people,

I also just downloaded srs and I will tell you how i got it started, cause for me it works fine. By the way I used Star++++ Nightmare.

First just install the game normally, by mounting it with Alcohol 120% or Demon Tools (I used Demon Tools). Then restart your computer.
Following download Star++++ Nightmare from http://www.project-star++++.tk/ . Unrar or unzip the program en open it. You will get a list of commands (which are also explaned further in the readme wich comes with the download), and press "Disable CD". Let the programm process the command. And than start the program normally. It worked fine for me.

I have to say that I am playing this game on an AMD 2600+ so it's not true that AMD would cause problems. I also have one cd drive, which is a burning drive.

I hope I someone will have some use from my guide...

[B]There are 3 ways to get this SRS to work,and I've tried all 3,including the one I posted myself,and they all work.I don't know why some people are starting to worry about thier codecs,lol,everything's there,just a matter of following procedures,and frankly,hats off to the dude that created star**** crack program. I'll poste them once again,and if anyone tells me it's not working for them,they either can't read,or aren't following each step,and to the ones that still say they can't well,I could do it for them remotely to prove it.Here it is,one more time. Mount the mds file with Daemon Tools(located on c.d. 1). Open Star****,click on 3.4.49X, Disable rom,click preferences,choose I don't have a cd rom,with super aggresive,and save changes,the application will restart.Re-open it,click securom,and patch blacklist,then,click the .exe file for the game,and start it.Note,it will disable all roms,so you might need to reboot after playing the game to get windows to see your roms again,but it works.If anyone has questions, I'de be glad to help,including remotely to prove that it works NOTE:the star**** program must be on for the game to work............Cheers !!

ok so please let me show you my status.
i use an AMD chipset, Windows XP Professional.
I have the 2 images(CD 1.mds, CD 2.mds).
I have Star++++ 0.83 Beta, SFNightmare, Alcohool 120%.

I tried every method but none seems to work except for one which someone posted for WinXp SP 2. It worked one time but it told me i must install DirectX. After that it didn't work anymore. Does anyone know a solution?

If you bothered to learn the rules here it clearly states NO WAREZ, now no-cd's are NOT warez, its a legit way of playing your games without using your cd's which can be damaged with continual use.

Sure you never know who is 100% legitimate, but you can spot the warez users a mile away, especially the desperate ones who post continually asking for the same thing, why continually? cause they arent legit and need to play their ill gotten game.

Simple, even for your dinosaur sized brain :P

I do not deny any of your opinions, but... it is not a place to discuss such things... It is obvious that many of users of megagames and other games related forums are using illegal software, and are demanding cracks 'cause they can not play their freshly downloaded games, but... as I said... it is not a place to talk about it...

To make my words credible I will now back to the topic... so:
I was trying to make this no-cd on my own, but due to lack of knowledge about assembler, even after making some tutorial no-cd's I can't find any known patterns in this game... I think it is because of this stupid protection, which I encountered before in Colin McRae Rally 2005... It is very tough - for me - to crack... but I believe that some cracking group will do this no-cd -> because starf*** don't work as far as I, and some other peoples, are concerned.

Since you want to keep on topic, heres a few hints

1. You have to unwrap the real .exe, some come in the disguise of a .dll file (the exe you run is actually unpacking the dll into the memory).

2. Remove any Anti-Debugging process.

3. Then you can view the real ASM and possibly remove the checks.

I have Win XP Pro Service pack 2 (up to date), running AMD Althon Xp 2 GHz, Video GForce FX 5200 with 128MB ram, and 512 MB DDR 3200 system memory. Klite codecs full version 2.4. burned srs cd1.mds to cd using alcohol, installed the game from the burned discs (cd 1 & 2), extract Star*** to a folder on desktop, run star**** and select StarForce 3.4.4.9 and then select Preferences, scroll down and select SuperAggressive and select English as language and then save preferences hit ok to close star*** and re-open it. now select StarForce 3.4.4.9 and hit Patch Blacklist and then click on the Disable CD button on the bottom, wait a while. when it's done hit ok to close the appear message dialog saying the cd(s) have been disabled. select Securom 5.0XXX and hit the Patch Blacklist and then hit the close application button. Find the folder where the SRS cd1.mds located and right click on the file that ends in .mds and right click and select mount image. There you are now ready to play the game. when you reboot your computer again or whatever and the game is asking for insert licensed disc, start Star*** and select Starforce 3.4.4.9 and hit on disable CD and then select Securom 5.0XXX and hit the Patch Blacklist and start the game again and it should work again.

And for the record, the "fake domain renewal page" that you asked me about was NOT fake. It was as real as it gets, and my co-administrator forgot to renew our domain mgforums.com, and that's why you saw that green page which said mgforums.com domain was expired on 3/9/05. Check the whois on it, and you'll notice it happened the same time the domain expired.

He did not renew it because we were in the process of changing our domain to forums.megagames.com, as it has been stated many times in the past.
