Can't start NeedForSpeed Undergr2 !!!!!!!

After I install NFSU2, update to 1.1 and place the crack, i doubleclick speed2.exe but it displays and error message (crash). My PC details are:

AMD SEMPRON 2600
512 DDR RAM
ATI RADEON 9200 SE 4.12 CATALYST
WIN XP PRO SP1 & 2
DIRECTX 9.0b

does this happen you only with the crack? have you tried without the crack? maybe its bad programmed

I can't run it from cd because the game is a copy. But I know from a friend of mine that when running it in Win XP home there is no problem.

uninstall it and reinstall and dont use a crack.. except a version 1.0 no cd.. mine runs fine with that crack installed

you still need CD2 in the drive when playing this game.
i get that error but i was a smart arse and put NFSU 1+2 on 1 DVD.
that is the only time i get that error. try launching the game from the cd. when i launch the speed.exe from the cd. it works

Does this error happen if you play from your ORIGINAL CD?

I have tried everything you guys said. Nothing. Even the original game doesn't work. The error message while using crack is : speed2.exe has encountered a problem and it needs to close.
