Half-life 2 load game problem

Whenever , I load a game (ie. Autosave or Manual Save) the enemy AI is disabled. So, I am forced to start a new game every time.
IS THERE ANY FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM???

You will get this problem if you use a pirated copy with illegal key.
