Trying to install Medal Of Honor-Allied Assault. On the second disc, when it's installing Pak2pk3, up pops a dialogue box saying....
component transfer error
component: complete
filegroup: complete
file: D:\main\Pak2.pk3
Error: Incorrect function
Then it says the wrong volume is in the drive, Please insert disc 1
Of course, when I put disc 1 back in, the installer shuts down and asks if I want to send an error report to MS.
I'm at a loss here. Any ideas?
For what it's worth, I had a friend's copy on this computer before. The other day I bought a copy for my other PC's and went to download the 1.11 UKUS patch on this PC. It said it couldn't find a U.S. copy of MOHAA so, I uninstalled the game and reinstalled the legit discs. I even went into regedit and there is no 0DEA.....there. Nor is it in the installsheild hidden folder. This baby is clean so, it should take an install.
