XP CD Key Dose Not Work

Our system crashed yesterday, is I formated the drive and started to install XP and I get to the part where it asks for the CD Key and I type in the one on the sticker on the side of the PC and I returns an error saying, The Product ID you entered is not valid. I triple cheaked it with my mum and dad, it is the very say Key on the sticker. What do i do, mum is getting realy angury cos she wants to pay the bills and the PC is not working, HELP PLEASE!!!!

Must be a different license than the software you have.

I.e. A XP Pro key and you have XP home CD.

You have to get in touch with your supplier who you got the PC from or software.

Or directly in touch with Microsoft! It does give you phone numbers to call. It should also finish the install and go into the 30 days registration mode!

You can only use the code 3 times in 3 months, then you have to phone them for a new number/code, or wait 3 more months. :nervous: Some people can only use it once some many times in 1 go
